WTF!!!!!!!!

I'd like to see how much they cut out of the firewall and transmission tub in floor ..... So did they write an instruction sheet on this thing ....

Dude check out DPcars.net V-8 busa engine over 300 hp in a Lotus super 7...

These guys took the long way around and made their own crankshaft !!!!!!

Who's got an aold 5.0 mustang engine with electrics laying around ...?

I have a donor miata tub ....... :chin:

No instructions, just a picture. I'm not even sure where it originated. Pretty sweet mod, though!

Speaking of things laying around...sure would be nice to find a cheap C5R 427 lying around!

Dude, La petite Le Mans weekend at Road Atlanta there were a couple of Vettes there that sounded like IndyCar engines of a few years back.... They were revving at (sounded like) 10,000....WTF!!!!! What do you know about these things ..... The vettes I am talking about were in GT3 VS the New Caddie..... There were porsche,Caddie, vette, viper, panoz and a few others but nothing sounded like the front running vettes..... Do they down stroke the motor to meet displacement? Everything else out there was ground pounding....

I think the Caddie uses the same engine as in GT1 Vette .....

Clue me in.......

The only engine I'm aware of would be the 7.0 liter C6-R 427. It's 590 hp and 640lbs/tq, but I don't think it revs all that high. Matter of fact, the power is made much lower in the rpms than the base Z06 427, somewhere around 5500. And the Caddy CTS-V does run the same engine.

Well unless somebody out there has built short push rods to let the things rev....

Those specs are not near what we heard that afternoon.....

I'll hunt around for it .....

These vettes were screaming...... and it's well over 6 grand .....8-10 most likely .....

ALMS series GT3 Vette (I'll check out the rule book) ...... I just don't know who the hell built these things .....

I have seen small block drag cars rev'n above 10 grand, but they are so loose they will not last much longer than a 1/4 at a time. I have a friend that had a 500+ ci motor that would rev close to 10 grand. It had 4 stages of NOS and cost over 50 grand. Look at NASCAR 7500 to 9000+ all sunday long. I think it has to do with how much money you have to spend. Also remember thier is no such thing as off the shelf parts in tht level of racing.

Oh yea, the RX7 is cool idea. It kind of defeats the reason for the RX7. I want to say the RX is almost a 50/50 car. A few years ago some one had built a salt flats car using a rotory. It had the world record for hp per ltr, just over 3000hp out of 3.0. The V8 RX would be fun to drive. lots of TQ+ lite weight= FUN.
