I kept diving until I found some prices. 47 to 94 G's is what these things run used. :eek: If you have that kind of money laying around get you one of these.

The VW's damn nice !!!!!!!!!!

Well it was only about 3 years ago you could put together a nice d sports racer for around $20,000- $30,000 .....

When you look into the real cost of racing it comes down to the consumables..

Running the bike engines is much cheaper for the dollar to horsepower figure and the things are pretty reliable....

Get price on doing a rebuild on any VW engine at retail prices from dealer and see how long you could contest one of those cars before your credit line is wasted.....

The cost of getting into the car may be expensive but contesting it is not when compared to a sports car .....

My old man has friends with over $60,000 tied up in vintage MINI COOPERS..... It's nuts.... One mini cooper engine build is around $8,000.00 .....

One replacement engine from Kawasaki is around $3,800.00 for ZX-10 ....

The IMSA series will all be using spec Kawasaki ZX 14 engines .....

If you are competing then there is nothing nicer than working on a purpose built race car where everything is quick change and easy to access ....

West is just one example of many ..... If you look into the SCCA classifieds
you can pick up old formula Mazda'a with rotary engines for around $14,000.00 ..... Reliable and great track day/ race car for the money .....
