I finally went and did it. I bought a 06 Gixxer 750, I know Chris is happy now. Just what the world needed another damn suzuki on the road.
Why not wait for the new Ducati 1098? Are you going to race the 750?

It's doubtful that I'll buy another bike. Working to mod the crap out the vette.

No I'm not going to race it. The R6 will be my track bike and 750 street. For the price of a 1098 I could buy 2 750s.

Plus one dealer maintenance service cost on the Duc will be the entire service cost for the life of the gixxer probably. Besides the gixxer will probably still kick the duc's butt. With that being said, I still love the 1098.

I think the Ducati service record costing big money is not the case these days. I know Ty hasn't spent a dime on service and he's had zero trouble on his 2001 996. I had a lot more trouble with both my Suzuki and RC51 than Ty has had with his Ducati.
Steve, I'm hearing you can pick up the new Ducatis in the low 14s. I'd gladly pay 2 or 3k more for the 1098. I'm not saying the 750 was a bad choice, it's not, but I just love those pasta rockets.
I thought about a duck along time ago but then decided i could own a 636 and a 10 for the same money.

You can get deals on the 750's for around $8,500 out the door. That's a savings of 6 large. You could then use that 6 grand and buy a year old 600 for the track, a YZF 450 for the dirt, or a supercharger for your Z06 Vette!
The 2 or 3k dollars extra I was talking about was the difference between the liter bikes. 8.5k for the 750 out the door is pretty dang good price! Why would anyone, not planning racing the 600 class, buy a 600 when you can have the 750?

Why Matt? I already caught enough grief from my wife asking why I bought a Suzuki and threating to leave. My dogs will not even look at me now except to growl at me. Damn Suzuki!
If some other manufacturer would make 750s I wouldn't of had to do it.

That's a good question Dave! I think it's because we indivually like and want what we want. Just because it's the fastest and the prettiest doesn't mean everyone will like it. For example, I know that I pick on you about the honda stuff all the time, but I do see why you and so many others buy them. We all know that just about every sportbike out is more capable than 99% of the riders, including me for sure. So I clearly see why some people buy 600's vs the 750. I rode my sv on the road for a while and to be honest with you it was perfect for 99% of the riding that I do. Power isn't everything, so that's why you like the hondas, right Dave. You know I couldn't help myself there Dave. BTW have you done anything to your vette lately?

Why would I get an 06 R6 over a GSXR 750? Well because here at KWS we are now building 06 R6 bikes that destory the GSXR 750.

that is enough of that sh#$ burns....................dont forget you can build a 750 to beat a stock 1000 also even evin would say why put the money in the 600 to get 750 power and why put the money in a 750 to get 1000 power just buy the bike for the power you want from the start
