Well hats off again to Mr. Speedworks, the Middleweight GP winner on Sat., Trey Yonce. Coming back after a crash on Sat., Trey showed them that SC was definitely in the house. We had two local boys to take a first trophy home. Trey and David Anderson from Mt. Pleasant. David won the LW supersport race Sat. on his SV 650. Matt and Jason had a little bad luck way before the starting flag dropped. Somehow, the ccs folks didn't get either one of there preregistration entry’s into any of there races. Therefore, this means that they were starting in the back of the pack in all of their races. This would not be so bad if there were only 10 of 15 bikes or so, but in their races, they had in some races, over 40 bikes. In one of Jason’s races, he started in the second wave. They really didn't have a snowball chance in hell of placing. Nonetheless, both of them still rode their Asses off. Matt even got in the top 10 of one race. Jason probably would have won an award for passing the most bikes in a race. He definitely got some practice passing, that’s for sure. I was fortunate enough to get a 3rd and two 2nd place finishes. This was my first time going to Barber, and it was definitely well worth the trip. Seeing Geoff May, Robert Jenson, Chris Ulrich, Trey, and a host of other top racers was the iceing on the cake. If you get a chance to ride there, you need to do it. The facility has to be the best on the east coast. The track is amazing. The next race is at Jenning GP on Sept. 11th. Check out the links below for more info on Trey and some pics as well. Trey is the one with the solid black leathers and the solid black helmet.
