View Full Version : Group ride
Anyone up for a group ride this weekend? How about we NOT meet up at the tree this time? The MotoGP race comes on at 6pm. We can ride for a while and either go to my house and watch the race or go to a sports bar, eat and watch the race. I know this new Irish pub that opened up in Summerville that's pretty nice, plus I know the owner and I'm sure I could get the race on the big screen. Well, anyone up for it?

I say we meet up Saturday afternoon. The CSU woman's volleyball team will be doing a fundraiser car wash across from the Trident hospital on rt 78. I went there last week to get the BMW washed and could barely hold my composure in front of my wife. These ladies were bikini clad and smokin hot!!! I say this group finally gives back to the community and let the ladies wash our bikes for $5 a pop.

Sounds good Chris.
CSU thing sounds good too. What will ten bucks get me?
If you guys are up for watching the race in Summerville, chime in because I need to talk to this guy soon.
I forgot about the AMA. The Superbike races are on at 4 and 5, then the MotoGP. Sounds like a plan if more are interested.

If he's at work, I'll talk to him tomorrow. If not, I know he'll be there Friday.
I just talked to Dave at McGuires Irish Pub in Summerville. Everything sounds good and he said he'll make sure to have the race showing. It's downtown Summerville on Richardson Ave. You can't miss it. Anyway, the first Superbike race is at 4pm and the MotoGP race will end at 7pm. Three hours of racing!!
I have a big fantasy football draft at noon on Sunday. I might not make the ride but I will be at McGuires at 4. That's if everyone else is going to make it.
No b-day party for Barry but we'll still be there watching the races. Hey Mac, are you working Sunday afternoon?

i think that chrash and june maybe joining us as well as i may bring a couple of friends also i talked to tracy over at tracys in west ashley and she says that we can get some tvs for the races over there for later on when is the big race???????...............
Which "big" race are you talking about?
I don't care where we go to watch races but it's hard to get TV time during NASCAR season. This weekend let's try McGuires and the next race we can try somewhere else. We used to go to Sports Cafe but we had to watch the race on a 25" tv. That sucked.
Sssoooo... categorically, what is the deal?
Ride before the race: go/no-go? if a go, where, what time?
CSU wash: go/no-go? if a go, where, what time?
Races: 4PM at the pub?
For me...the races at the pub are a go. I can't ride due a fantasy football draft at noon on Sunday.
I am up for a the CSU ride. Anyone else???

:coffee: The CSU thing is going on right now...so it looks like we didn't get our ducks in a row for this event (plus ther's scattered showers all over town....go figure). But anyways...the bar tommorrow for the races is a must!!!

Hello Everyone, I'm finally back in town. Well I decided not to go to Jennings this weekend since there is a 60% chance of rain right now. So now I am planning to meet at the mall tomorrow at 1:00pm to ride with the group. If it dosen't rain. I am also planning to be at the Pub in Sville at 4:00 weather it rains or not. So I'll see you there Dave.
Great turn-out at McGuires yesterday. It looks like the ride had a lot of folks also. I told a few of you guys that if we go back to McGuires, Dave will let us have the back room to ourselves. It has 109" projection TV, but the sound was out, so that's why didn't use it yesterday. If everyone would like we can make this a norm for race weekends. Give me some feedback.

Thanks for putting that together Dave. McGuires is a pretty nice place. Much better than the so called Knockers place (Hooters). You have just earned yourself a new position, you are now the Race Day Party Hospitality Champion. We expect you to give us a weeks notice of the next moto gp race and location of the party, hopefully McGuires again. This way you can also let the owner know if we are expecting 2 people or 20.
The next MotoGP race is 18 Sep. The next and last AMA race is this weekend at Road Atlanta. I won't be here this coming weekend but I'll be back in time for the MotoGP race. I'll set it up with McGuires (MotoGP) if everyone is ok with that.
I really didn't expect all the people that showed up. I figured 6 or 7. Hopefully, that large of a crowd will show for the next race.
