Did I miss something?
First, I am a newbie, a female, and a self-imposed recluse, so I have no idea how much clout my words or thoughts hold here. Still, after reviewing several threads and reflecting on certain opinions conveyed, the amicable tone of the forum I remember has been infected.
On the chance this may come out hippyish, I suggest we agree from this point forward to post positivly (gentle jesting and cracks on Mac excluded, of course). Negative posting just lowers the levity and tone of the forum and generally presents the poster in unflattering light.
If there is a complaint, a legitimate complaint with someone's attitude, ride, or business ethics, then please, by all means, keep it private. Contact the person directly, allow him/her the chance to defend him/herself, and try to solve it one on one, PRIVATELY. If the complaint can be proven with substantial evidence and members of this forum would benefit from the post, then and only then, please inform us.
Also, when and why would "sides" be introduced? We are all riders. We all love to ride. So why are we drawing lines in the sand to distinguish us from one another? It is just another form of discrimination. I ride to escape that madness. Personally, I could care less what group you ride with, the vendor of your bike/gear/etc, your skill level, your gender, your age, your cosmetic appeal, or your side of the bed preference. If you want to ride, I will be right there beside you...... with bells on.
With that said, I will step off my soap box. Thanks for letting me rant.
