View Full Version : Greetings From Canada Eh!
Hello all,
Thought I'd check out your web space.
I'm actually one of DK's AMA race buddies. He and I shared a class (250GP) , a brand and model (Honda RS250), and strangely enough a name ( Yes, Derek King) confusing for some at times. The only way you could tell us apart was he was infront of me.
I'll check back from time to time to see what cool stuff y'all got going on
Hello, er, DK, and welcome to the site. Anytime you get tired of the cold, you know where to find us :)
Welcome Derek for dropping in .....
When your back on the east coast, you now know where to find us....
By the way, DKR smoked me at Laguna back in 99 in the rain...... I was hopeless there. If you google any AMA results for Derek King we pop up together a lot .....
DKR has always been a gentleman's racer and was always very meticulous
about his machine and equipment........
Now if I can get John France, Greg Esser, Perry, Lego and Roland to make their cameo's on corner junkies I believe we would have to put up some wagers on a 50 race .......
For those of you who did not follow the 250 GP series back in the day.... Canadian DK(JT) ran the series for a good span from 96-2000 ..... he later went on to work for David Letterman's indy light's team doing data.... I am going to try and get him to spill some beens on that stuff..... DKR was quick and ran a very professional outfit in the AMA paddock..... You could just about eat of his bike...... The two of us found each other by means of ebay when I saw some of his old RS 250 stuff for sale.....
DKR also ran a bike shop for a while up in BC.....
The world is getting smaller , eh.........
What, no Rich Oliver, Derek?
Glad you stopped by, DKR! Please come back from time to time.
