Well who is the Street King?
Mr.Chris W., There is a man named David Norris who wants to run you for the tittle. He wants it to be motor to motor, no gas.
Mr.Randy, This same man wants you too. You guys wanna get together and play?
He is on a 06 GSXR 1000 all stock.

What are you trying to start here Mr. Steve? I guess because the weather is getting all nice people are starting to get itchy to run there bikes. Well the last street king was Alan on a gixxer 1000. As most of you know his bike got totaled, not by him. So for now there is no Street King in Charleston.
Last year Chris W. couldn't find people to run him. Everyone would make excuses to of why they couldn't show up to run. Randy retired after he lost last year. So I don't know if he wants to bring that kaw out to play with these new high hp liter bikes anymore. I just have a feeling that if you aren't on a 07 gixxer 1000 then you won't even have a small shot of being the King, no matter how much miracle work you get done to you bike.

i'm with ya on this one.
$'s can make you fast in a straight line, but throw in some leaning and braking......you can't buy skill.
not that i'm highly skilled, but i can't compete in the battle of the wallets. i'll just sit back and instigate.

Last summer was on a bald tire and a clutch with 10000 miles on it. I beat you everytime we did a roll on from second. It is amazing how people remember the one time they win, but forget about the 6 they lost. Bike is a little different now. If the guy doesn't like nitrous that is too bad for him. I have 150 more pounds than he does and he makes the same power I do. I am not the fastest guy and am no professional. For me it is all bike. It is true, being fast on a fast bike in a straight line isn't that hard. Looking as good as I do doing it, now that is a feat!!!
oh hell lets do a put up or shut up deal out there my zx-10. she's dusty so i'll need 2 weeks of notice but hell I'll get er right. BTW chris's R-1 ran me more times than a burger king drive threw and I still got to the fries first everytime. Im in! just need some time to get 9.5 speed back up to 10 speed.

There's a lot of smack talking going on! Well congrads to everyone who beat up on Chris's R1. It sounds like all of you guy's beat him. It's to bad that he doesn't have it anymore.
Well the show must go on so who will be the new King of the Streets since the title is now vacant?

Just putting this out there. I beat Allen doing second gear roll ons before I had the nitrous.
Hmmm i say it stays vacant till a run. just naming someone would be lame. BTW i look better than chris in a strait line. just puttin it out there.
Randy, there's nothing straight about you!

I will agree that the 1ks are faster than my bike off the bottle. I've said it before. But if you beat me off the bottle, then you didnt beat my bike. I run on the bottle. I am still working with technology that is 8 years old. I have to make up for the huge weight differance. I just wish that I would have bought the gsxr 1000 instead of the hayabusa. But I will be leaving town soon, so you guys can play all you want. If you guys want to see just how fast you really are, just give me a call. I don't really care about street king because I have too much of a traction problem on the street. I really need the VHT to be able to launch from a stop. So have fun and be careful!

Gee guys, kinda looks like the KING is going to be the first guy showing up on the new gixxer thousand. And, you know it's probably gonna be some dork who ain't shit normally, but lucked out with a killer bike.
It's been known to happen.
As for the "Street King" title ......
Unless you engineered your own machine and built it yourself there are no bragging rights in drag racing......
It's like saying ......
Yeah she's hot,
Yeah that's my mom!!!!!!!!!!
Or I bought my girlfriend a bigger set of tits than you bought yours.......
So if there is a title to be won, what have you built ?
The title fight should be based on a clean sheet of paper with a time frame in mind.....
A real challenge, not money......
Money buys parts, it does not always implement them properly......
:chin:
Think about the proposition of a real battle.......
Who's got the skills ?

I think there have been like 4 street Kings so far.
Richie gixxer 1000
Jason on a stock gixxer 1000.
Randy on a zx10.
Alan on Jason's old stock gixxer 1000.

Here is a little history of how this Street King thing got started. A few years back I used to ride with guy in town named Richie. Richie was a very talented drag racer back in the day. On top of that he could do wheelies for miles at a clip. In fact at the time there wasn't anyone in town who could do a wheelie longer than him.
Over the years when anyone would get a new bike everyone wanted to race against it to see how fast it was. Well Richie and his 01 and 05 gixxer just happen to be faster than any bike that came up against him for years. Because of Richie's talents and fast bikes I gave him the nickname KING RICHIE. Over time and as more people rode with us I guess this caught on.
Is this something that is serious? No not by any means. Is this something that is done for money? Not even. Is this cup of tea for everyone? No, not even for me. So just don't participate. It just a SILLY little thing that is taken all in fun amoungst us that ride as a group regularly here in town. Most of us that participate in this silly thing have been riding together for years. Again it's all in fun and a way to have bragging rights when your having a beer at Wild Wings on a Sunday afternoon. Nothing more and nothing less!
BTW we also do other silly things as a group as well. We have a King of the Drag Strip, charity holiday bike ride, organized trackday rides, Tuesday bike night / 50 races at Wings Etc., and Deals Gap GTG rides. So do us street riders have fun as a group, I would say so, and I look forward to riding with everyone this spring and summer. If anyone has any constructive comments or suggestions that we can do to help the sportbiking scene here in town, please let us here it.
I though I could ride until I saw this ......

No there are only a few guys (and gals) that work at the main warehouse and he is not one of them. He was a trackside Dunlop vendor who seemed to like to run his mouth about everything.
