This is the 3rd points Auto-X event of the season. It's not too late to start racing for points as you throw out two events at the end of the year before doing the final tally. You must attend 5 points events to qualify for the championship.

Anyway, this one is at the BMW plant in Greer, SC (near Greenville). I do plan on attending. Maybe some of you waxers can put the paste down and show us what you got.

Will they allow supermotards? :smilebig:

I wouldn't mind going just to check it out. Hmm... maybe I should check out local events :chin:

what kind of cage do you have? You may be surprised to find out that there might be a class of close to equivalent cars to compete against.

Used to have a good track weapon (well-modded WRX), but I have a Titan now. Might be fun to turn a few laps anyways, as long as they don't make me pay for the cones I'll undoubtedly smear into the pavement

As long as it's not 4wd, they will let you run the truck in, I believe, F-stock. 4wd vehicles are excluded due to the higher roll over potential.

As crazy as it sounds even to me, I've been checking out cars. I started by looking at an S2000, but it occurred to me that in a similar price range (20-35K), there are a lot of choices available:

S2000
WRX STi
Vette / Z06
NSX

...just to name a few. I so don't need a car, but...

Yes, there are many good choices. Of course I am biased towards the Z06 but those others you have listed are good too. I think you so need to get one. You won't regret it.

Looks like you soundly beat your competition.

With all the entries, it must've been a zoo. So... where are the pics?

I freaking annihilated the competition in my class. I was a little dissapointed I was a second off Charles Bifano's time in the higher A-SP class. But then again, he had the Fastest time of the day if you throw out the open wheel formula car that showed up. I have a hunch I need to take advantage of the stock class rules and install a beefier front swaybar and do a proper Auto-X alignment. The wear pattern on my DOT legal race tires is just begging for me to add more negative camber.

As far as it being a zoo....surprisingly it was one of the smoothest and best organized events of the year. We actually finished much earlier than anticipated.

I'm not much of a picture taker. Hopefully the picture taking dude will have some posted on the SCR site shortly.
