If ever there was an event dedicated to a core group of enthusiasts just like us, the VIR round of the Grand American Roadracing series will also host the National Moto ST National endurance series ......
Grand American Roadracing is a professional sportscar series that sanctions a national championship for prototype cars as well as GT cars....
Moto ST is owned by the same founding members of Grand American Roadracing ...... Moto St is formatted similar to the GA series as an endurance style event with the exception that it is for Motorcycles......
All v-twin racing motorcycles ....... A horsepower cap and minimum weight limits insure this series some close racing and for hours on end.......
If you read this forum regularly this is your calling to see everything in one weekend........ Cars and Bikes.........

Where:
Virginia International Raceway/ Danville Virginia
(About 6 hour drive north of Charleston, smack on the border of North Carolina and Virginia)
When:
April 27-29th
Why:
Because this is in fact the closest round that will include both Cars and Bikes on the same weekend...... Cars are the Daytona Prototype machines you may have seen on speedvision in January during the Rolex 24Hour event..... They also run GT cars, vette, porsche, BMW, Mustang, GTO, RX8, maybe a ferrari and others.......
Great place to see racing, a beautiful facility, with plenty of room to venture around......
This will be one of the biggest Road Race events in this region.......
Bikes will run in three different classes at the same time ......
Ducati, suzuki, Aprilia, Buell, etc all v-twin machines .......
Classes are only separated by weight and horsepower cap......
This is your calling as a true corner junkie to make your presence at this event.......
Cars, bikes, oddities and probably the best weather you could expect before the summer's humidity falls in.......
