How good is Redline synthetic oil compared to Repsol, Motul and all the other brands? Just curious. I want to make sure I use some GOOD stuff. Thanks!!

Redline is great oil but the car stuff is loaded with tons of Moly which makes it unfriendly to wet clutches. I heard that they recently came out with a motorcycle oil, so I assume this issue has been addressed with that particular product.
If you want an oil that is really good for your bike...consider using a HDEO. "what is an HDEO?", you may ask. HDEO stands for heavy duty engine oil. It essentially is modern Diesel oil such as Chevron Delo 400, Shell Rotella, and Mobil Delvac. HDEO's have proven to work GREAT in motorcycles and tend to even kick synthetics butts in wear numbers.
A great resource to see learn about oil is the online forum some refer to as BITOG. It is short for www.bobistheoilguy.com . Tons of information there.

How many miles do you have on that ZX so far? I was told you shouldn't go to a full synthetic until a couple thousand miles since a lot of the seals have to absorb the oil and "set". That could be bullshit but just what I heard/read.
I would say Hammer knows his stuff when it comes to oil.

I appreciate all the work. I only have 300 miles on it so far. I don't plan on using synthetic until my 3rd change.
I've been using Shell Rotella T for the last 60,000 miles or so. Damn good stuff.

I looked around little bit on bobistheoilguy.com and found some interesting things about Moly based engine oil. I found one such that claims to outperform ALL other major leading brands. The brand is Schaeffers and from what I can tell they are the REAL deal. I think I might give them a shot. They have some really good testimonials and not to mention they have been around for almost 200 years. Crazy huh!?! I'm including a couple of links if anyone is interested in reading up on it. I think it would be worth your time.

Never mind, I just read Hammers post again and wasn't aware that Moly was unfriendly to wet clutches. That sucks cuz it sounded like a really good oil. I will definitely be using it in my truck though. Back to the drawing board!!!!!

Yes, Schaeffer's is good stuff...I actually was contacted by them about being a slaes rep for them last year. You may not want to use the Schaeffer's in your bike though. Their Penetro additive in their oil is what I like to say, "slicker than owl shit" and may prove to be unfriendly to your wet clutch.
I suggest you go to Walmart and buy a gallon jug of Shell Rotella Synthetic 5w-40. It really works great in motorcycles and the few I have turned on to it like it too.

07 you don't have to wait untill the 3rd oil change to use syn......unlike the motors of the past.....newer motors are nikacel coated & you can put syn oil right from the start......you can save your money & just use a 5w-30 or 10w-30/40. with NO damage on the inside of the Motors....learned the from many years working at KWS...in my past life

I was actually at Wal-Mart yesterday and was looking at the Rotella T. Their synthetic is priced very nice at just under 5 bucks a quart. I like that alot better than 10 bucks a quart for some of the racing oils. I'm definitely going to use synthetic on my next change and I think i'm going to go with Rotella. Thanks for all the advice guys!!!!
