Need local advice.....

I have in front of me my new Yamaha sportbike order and need some advice. I do these every year and this year want to try something different. Jason and I were talking and he brought up a good idea, we need to know what colors to order for the new 06 program and want your opinion. Is yellow dead, is the raven color still attractive or is blue the way to go? I don't like the yellow, but it is the anniversary colors so it may sell. Black is always good, but Yamaha's are supposed to be blue!!! So let's hear it. By the way, the new price on the R6 is $9499/Yellow, $9299/Raven and $9199/Blue.

Wow we were just talking about this in another forum... I like the yellow {different} however the yami guys it is about 1/3 that like it. but the ones that do LOVE it. sooo the raven is always a good way to go. that $18000 r1 is that finacable? hows that work with the blue book? no i dont want one but just curious.

I think it is preaty cool that we the users of DKF2 Get to pick the colors of the bikes that will be coming to our local dealers... who says this site isn't good for anything.!!!! Kenny I would get some yellow but Mostly blue and black BLack alwayse sells but Blue Is BLue

Kenny, when is the last time that you have ever seen a yellow R1? Never! I bet that you won't be able to get enough yellow R1's to sell. What's going to kill me is that everyone is going to get the yellow to perpetrate as an LE model.

good lord 9500 and 18,000. Well i'm not a fan of the yellow really. I dont know how many bikes of each r1 and r6 you're going to get but i'd put probably 50% raven 30%yellow 20%blue. how much are they asking for the r6s and R1? I think the raven will outsell the LE but I might be biased by not liking the yellow. The blue is classic and just grows on me. Or maybe the same amount of yellows and ravens.

I love the Blue R6, THat is my favorite. The black and the red one are great too. I have never really like yellow for myself.

It's not the yellow that will sell the R1 LE, it's all the extra goodies!!!

how much would it cost to buy a stock r1 and put the ohlins on it and the rims about 6000 ???????? plus what for the stock r1 and how many people really care about the suspension and rims ...............sure maybe us but what about the average rider..........do you really see them wanting to spend that kind of money.................guess thats why it is limited edition

I do think the R1 LE will sell pretty well.

They are only making 500 LE's so it may not be how many you can sell but the availability.

I think the R1 SE is it. Color wise I'd say 40% Blue 40% Raven, 20% Yellow.

Thanks to the LE Yamaha can use it in super stock nest year.
Due to links to AMA It is almost 100% sure that there will be a yamaha superbike team too. I know who but I am not saying!!
