I was riding by the shop on Old Trolley (the one with a couple dozen used bikes for sale), and saw that they had an 05 Gold Wing. I've never ridden one, and these things are hard as hell to find to test ride, so I had to pull in and give it a go.

Wow. This thing is going to be my next bike. It is smooooth and silky. The only clumsy thing on it was me. It was fairly easy to handle at low speeds, and a breeze on the road. Turn-in was surprisingly good. Acceleration wasn't stellar, and the braking worse, but that's not what this bike was built for, so it's no biggie.

Funny thing is, my 06 FJR felt small after riding the Wing. I can barely imagine what it'd be like to go from the SMR to the Wing, and back

Yep yep, Mikey likes it :wtg: :wtg:

So are we now going to see you at the tree on one of those?

It's just a question of time :evillaugh:

That thing would be fun a ride to the mountains.

Picture this: me on the Wing, towing my SMR to the Gap :w00t:

I hear they are pretty fast going from 0-60 mph

Yeah, towing the SMR would be pretty cool.

I've seen and heard that they're pretty fast, period, depending on the rider. I know that the Goldwing Gap regulars would smoke my slow ass, no matter what I rode :crap:

Cool thought, eh? I know that modified Wings are being used to tow cars, so it's well within the realm of possibility. I was already considering doing this with my FJR :smilebig:
