The bike was running great before thr recent transformation I put it thru. The 2 changes I can attribute the problem to are the dyna coils, or the tank I built is not venting correctly and is creating a vacuum causing a fuel shortage at full throttle.
I would appreciate any input from you all. I could probably figure it out myself, but that takes effort. I just can't figure if it is spark or fuel.
Thanks in advance....Dan da man

No wideband...remember, this is a 1984. The coils and tank are all that have changed. I also shortened the kickstand too. I need to check the kill switch on the stand to see that it is not cutting the spark under acceleration.
Im gonna also try the tank with an open vent on the cap instead of the coiley thing I have on there now.
Keep the suggestions coming! I wanna get back to riding wide open!!!

Thanks fellas

I got it! I finally got it figured out. The electronic boost sensor sends a signal to the computer to increase fuel and retard timing as boost increases. I had a disconnnected hose to the sensor. The computer was basicly not seeing any boost, so it ran the engine as a normally aspirated one.
I'm running strong now! Thanks for your suggestions Randy, Travis, and DK. Leave it to me and my bike to have a retard problem.....Dan da man

Whoa... you're lucky you didn't lean out and detonate your engine :crap:

Mike, I think its like Travis' catch line on his posts...when I was low on power, I made up for it with talent...I lack both so I'll call it luck...Dan
