So I decided to get complete chain tools - holder, breaker, and riveter. Since I will hardly ever need these, as would anyone else that would get these, it makes sense to share them. This idea led me into another, that being, having a set of community tools.

Basically, if you have or need a specialized tool/goody you're willing to share post it up here. I, or one of the other mods, will update this top post to reflect changes.

=================================

- chain tool set - holder, breaker, and riveter $5; currently (soon to be) held by Mike

Dang Mike, isn't that the way it works. When you need it, you can't find it and when you buy one, eveyone has one..........So, when you gettting back so I can change chains...? :stick:

I'm slowly building my collection...

I've got a home made table and ramp for working on the bike, a set of mercury sticks (Motion Pro) for syncronizing carbs, and a valve spring compressor (don't ask). I also have an air powered hydraulic fluid bleeder, which can pull bubbles out of any and all brake lines :)

Other than that, I have standard automotive tools (wrenches, timing light, dwell tach, dmm, etc).

I don't loan them out, but I've got a good size shop you can use them in :wtg:

So mike, when would it be possible to borrow the chain tools so I can hook up DaRealDefaulTT? Gonna try to do it this weekend if possible...figure I can teach a brother "how to fish" with his oil/sprockets/chain change and whatever else he has in mind to do to the bike that I am capable of.
Thanks again, and awesome idea for a thread! It's all about helping a brotha out....

chain tools, welders, grinders, KLR Doohickey tools, and electrical tools/knowledge available.

Most any auto/home tool you can think of save for shop equipment, otherwise. Spring compressors, Dremels, drills, etc....

I don't get over here much, but if you need to find me, Mike knows how to get in touch. Tools aren't available to be loaned out with abandon, but I've a bad habit of helping folks with their projects, to the detriment of mine...

If anyone is working on their bike and need a hand I'm always here. I know enough to get around, but I'm always looking to know more.
