Along with two wheeled toys. I have a passion for go karts. But not the putt putt type. I'm putting together a shifter kart and for now it's being powered by an 85 KX125. I have the bottom end rebuilt and now it's time for the top end.
Mid bore is on the loose side so a rechrome is in order. So who do you guys and or gals recommend?

millenium I am not sure that they deal with chrome cylinders but the can do nickasil and are the best locally I would talk to Simmons Machine Shop in west ashley. If KWS were to recommend someone other than Mellinium I am sure it would be simmons.

Simmons has done some machine work for a friend of mine. The are also doing the machine work for my vette's motor.
Really good prices. :wtg:

Looks like they'll be getting the business.
Thanks for the link!
By the way Simons doesn't deal with Nikasil plating.

So how fast will your kart go?

I haven't run it yet. I punched in some numbers and with the current gearing it should run around 75. I'm buying different sprockets! 75 is just not fast enough. I want triple digits!
