Its true. Mongo(Manager od WERA) from the WERA BBS said he spoke to Kay and they have cancelled all events for that amount of time for repaiving. Supposedly they will not be grinding much of the old track so they will just add about 4" of asphalt resulting in the need to make new gator strips and add dirt at the edge of the track to keep from being any ledges.

I actually am a little disapointed. I think the new pavement will even everything up for guys that are not used to or afraid of the patches. I also think the patches give the track character. Without them you won't have to think as much about line choices which in my opinion = boring. It will just be a fast track.
