From the litlle bit of research that I've done, it's a hacker based in Turkey. He's wiped out over 250,000 forums, mostly because they haven't been patched in a long time, and had several well-known gaping security holes.

There is one update (released on Monday) that I'll have to take care of for this forum, but it's non-critical, so I'll just do it sometime when things are really quiet. The site might experience some, but minimal, downtime.
