Whats new Suzuki starts the season off with another top 3 podium finishes! Do you think that they could get a life size poster of Mat and just leave it on the top of the podium?

remember kawi retuned the ten for raceing this year!

I'm sure that the suzuki and honda teams are really worried!

12-03-2005, 12:02 PM
shit! I'll see if I can find the link again. But they have tested the new 10 on the track. The response was "all new bike and engine"

I predict that Tommy Hayden will win the Superbike Championship on the Kawi. Can't wait to the the green bikes back out there again. Should make this upcoming season more fun to watch than last year.

Hell, they need to give the kawi team points if they just finish the race without mechanical problems.

The only DNF I remember was both of the Attack bikes at Daytona because of "Bad fuel" Besides that what else was there?

Kat_Mac

Is anyone definitely going?

Your probably right. I hope Hayden and Kawi can give the suzuki boys a run for there money. I do think that the kawi team will have there work cut out for them. Dealing with a new bike, rider, and riding against a very experienced suzuki and honda team.

Is anyone definitely going?

If you haven't done Daytona it's definitely one of those things to put on your list, esp. if your a bike enthusist. I may go to watch the race on Saturday, but it will be one of those last minute decisions.

CBRjunkie

I'll be there racing. Maybe for both weekends? CCS and AMA. A friend of ours wife passed away last week and he told me he will have a ceremony for her that week and will spread out her ashes at the beach so Kenny and I will most definatly be there for that when ever he decides to do that.

For ya'll there is a lot to do even if you don't race. All the vendors are there for the AMA races and lots of people and partys. Definatly gets crowded quick so get you're reservations now if you are going.

Kevin may let me go. But I would rather go to Lugana.

KWS is going to win the 200!!!!!....I hope

So who will be racing for you since Lee is leaving? Enquiring minds need to know.

burns
12-07-2005, 12:02 PM
:chin: Lee is going to race for Vesrah. He want to do some endurance racing and that is a ton of fun from what I hear.
Who is racing for KWS. :hic: I know but I am not aloud to say just yet. But when Kevin says the word I will let you know who the 2 new riders are.
We had a great year with Blake too, but he is headed else where. He is a great guy.

Kat has done a bunch of research on places to stay for Bike Week, so we need to have some definites, soon. We could rent a whole place for several of us, split the costs, saving money and having a nicer place to stay... if we act soon.

burns
12-07-2005, 02:24 PM
You could just roll up a sleeping bag tie to the bike and ride. LOL! The old timers use to do it that way and some still do.

I do agree with Mr. Mike, you need to act soon.

12-07-2005, 06:10 PM
Im going.

I'll be at the race only.

SUM650
12-09-2005, 10:19 PM
That's one hell of a deal Kat. You guy's need to jump on that real quick. Finding a room in Daytona during bike week is very$$$. Hint, you should get some retainer money from everyone that is going. Because it's nothing better than 2 or 3 people coming up at the last minute with every excuse in the world of why they cannot go. Then the rest of you are stuck paying the extra cost. This way if there serious about going they will either put up or shut up.

12-10-2005, 01:35 AM
I'll put in. HOWEVER my truck and trailor doesnt run on thank you! and in daytona it cost $25 A DAY to park the trailor. Im not saying foot the bill but If you want in the 250 and trailor you will have to put in also.

Kat_Mac
12-12-2005, 09:51 AM
Forgive my ignorance, Randy, but park the trailor where?

SUM650
12-12-2005, 11:22 AM
Forgive my ignorance, Randy, but park the trailor where?

If you stay in a hotel they usually won't accomodate trailers. So you will have to pay a park your trailer in a paking lot. Since you guy's are contemplating on getting a house, they may allow you to keep the trailer there?

Kat_Mac
12-12-2005, 01:51 PM
Since you guy's are contemplating on getting a house, they may allow you to keep the trailer there?

The houses I looked at have drive ways and a couple had garages. I don't see why it would be a problem. There were no stipulations with what we could park there. I'll check into it. Unfortunately, the houses are requiring a week's stay for that week. Most everyone I'm running into only want to go down there for a couple of days.

burns
12-12-2005, 02:00 PM
The best way to solve the trailer problem is to just ride your motorcycle down there. It is a long nice ride and you'll love it!

12-12-2005, 07:09 PM
but then the bikes get stolen

burns
12-13-2005, 07:06 AM
Your bike can get stolen out of your trailer. I know some people don't like real long trips on bikes. In my thoughts that is the best way to go. A few years back this guy I know... Earl rode his bike all the way from Maine to Fl for bike week. He had a blast on the way down , while he was there, and on the way back home. No disrespect to anybody out there, if a bike is on a trailer it should be going to the track or the shop for repair. Trailers are for suckers. You'll have to get that shirt that say,[glow=red:c9c1080e58] I trailered my bike to bike week.[/glow:c9c1080e58]
No mater. Just have fun however you do go. But there are those down there that will hit your trailer if they think there are bikes in it. And they will do it very fast and be gone in no time.
Like I said that is just my thoughts.

Mike
12-13-2005, 08:08 AM
Meh... the ride to/from Daytona is pretty boring (as is the case with just about every interstate ride anywhere near here, until you start getting into the mountains). At least when trailering, you can bullshit, eat, watch movies, etc to make the time go by...

Bummer that the list hasn't grown any.

burns
12-13-2005, 08:15 AM
I hear you man. Maybe the list will get bigger. When do you all have to give notice for the house?? I am not sure if I am going yet. If I do I will be with the race team. I have to see wHat Kevin and Chip have planned for me.

burns
12-13-2005, 05:45 PM
Well someone in this thread at one time ask who will ride for KWS next year. Since something was said on roadingworld.com I will let you know who one of them is. One of the riders is Matt Lynn. He ended up doing real good at the GNF and there is a lot of backing coming with him on board. We hope that with time he will become a much better rider than what he is now. The other rider is *&&*^&*^%%***^^. I am not allowed to say just yet, sorry.

Anyone know anyone that's there? I could use a place to crash Saturday night, as I'd rather just ride there than take my truck.

On the flipside, if I do wind up taking my truck, if anyone wants to come. let me know. Either way I'll probably leave here Saturday morning.
