Some one was telling me you divide the rear sproket by the front sproket and that will give you the gear ratio.. I know Daytona is long so I wanted to have the right set up... thanks for the help.. Kenny, Matt, or Jason, you guys going??

Make your life easier and just start with the stock gearing there. Then adjust it from there, if at all.

It may be note worthy to consider when you made your entry for the daytona race as that ultimately determines your grid position. It is best to determine where peak torque is made with your engine. Daytona is always windy this time of year and sometimes it can be beneficial to under gear the bike so that
you keep the rpm's around 11,000 in 6th gear if you have a rev range of up to 14,000. The draft will enable you to fly past a lot of other riders who have set up their gearing to peak at 12,500 - 13,000. A lot of these riders would over rev if there is a wind blowing with you down the front straight (finish line). I have not raced there since they stopped using Nascar one and two so this strategy may not work out as well as it used to.

On a 250 there were times we could not even use 6th down the back straight.
We would gear for optional 5th for back straight and scream 6th down the front. Depends on the wind.

A 600 making a lot more torque this is almost a non issue, but it is note worthy.

Just ensure that you are not riding in the over rev a majority of the time between the chicane and turn one. That's nearly 18 seconds of WIDE OPEN THROTTLE, make the most of it.

Damn 94.1 ? .....

That sucks.... Freshen that thing up.

Ken Johnson's sitting on an f2 motor with 10+ over your bike. Maybe you should go vintage racing in Wera if they will index your bike in the class.

yeah, i was still puttin 1:50 laps in with it like that so. I spoke to tyler Mcdonald about picking up one of his 06 r6's that he is getting rid of. I feel that i'm at the point where i can now use a stronger bike and be faster.
