thats awesome!
This sounds good... but isn't it a bit of a conflict of interest (with NASCAR)?
"Our goal is to guide the sport into the mainstream of American culture and showcase the extraordinary abilities of the competitors and their teams."
Couldn't be worse than it is now. Hopefully, us fans will reap the rewards of new management. Some of you guys that didn't watch the AMA in the mid to late 90's really missed out. I'd love to see the Superbike series make it to that level again.

ahh yea... the 90s...
so did wearing shredded acid wash jeans with a flannel wrapped around your waist while listening to nirvana on your 'boom box' improve the experience?

Wonder if this would lead to an IROC race for the motorcycle world. They could use the current Superstock/Suzuki class and change out the riders.

like..... Superbikers? lol.
It should be really good for American Road Racing. Moto ST and The grand American racing series running in conjunction was one of the wisest moves made in the last 20 years.
I think they could really up the attendance for motorcycle road racing national events if they showcase some of the events during Nascar Speedweek or the Grand American 250 during July at Daytona. Nascar fans know of AMA superbike, but so many have never attended a race to watch in person. Showcasing a superbike race during a Nascar event would blow the doors wide open for everyone. National outside of the industry sponsorship opportunities at a fraction of the cost, if you can get the Nascar fan to embrace motorcycle roadracing.
If Edmondson and The France family get control of the series like has been fore mentioned than it's a monopoly that will never be broken.
It will be great for fan fare but tough it you don't care for their rule structure.
I'm with you, Derek! I'm pretty excited by this move.
