Anyone a member of any local corvette club or know of any events? I've found the Coastal Carolina Corvette Club, which i'll probably check out some of their stuff, but they seem to maybe be an elder crowd... saw the auto x stuff dj posted also just wondering what's out there...

The CCC may never see you, because their nose is so high in the air.
Maybe Nash or Hammer could guide you toward a club or group that might fit better for you.

OriginalOne, don't forget your promise to me. I get to drive that nasty little ride of yours at least once so it knows how its supposed to be driven.

Original, what did you buy? Post some pics, man!

Anyway, I haven't been into the local Vette clubs. I'd rather hang out all different types of cars. If you join a Corvette Club, before you know it, you'll have chrome door handles and a florescent interior.

lol, chrome handles huh, some dubs too? There's an open car show next weekend at marathon chevy in summerville. I hate those bastards up there.. at least a salesman or two. Tried to rip me off on a vette last year. Anyway...

03 think i'm up to 34k miles now. Plan on keeping it stock or selling it if the price is right for the same car but with less miles. Keeping it mostly stock or easily converted back so I'm not doing a whole lot to it. I've got a vararam intake I just put in last month(PITA). Lowered it 3/4" in the back and 1/2" in the front on the stock bolts (roughly). Tinted 20% and that's about it. Might put headers and x pipe on it then get a tune or just put a corsa cat back and a tune i'm' not sure. I like the Ti exhaust but want more sound.

What all have you done to yours dave?

Great looking car, yikes! Love the yellow!

Let's see, I've had my car for 5 years, now, and the only thing I did was put on Borla Stingers and replace the crap Bose sound system. At on time I was looking at getting a blower but decided against it. I don't know what it is but I've always kept my cars pretty much stock, but the first thing I do to bikes is try to modify the shit out of them.

We need to get together for a drive in the near future. I'd like to see that baby in person!

yea definitely, my buddy just got a C6. We tool around sometimes on the weekends. I brought it out to the tree last sunday. I think the sound system is pretty good lol. Although I'd like to modify the bezel for a double din in dash nav system. But i'm still in limbo on whether this thing is going to be worth something one day. Let me know when you want to go out for a drive! I'll probably take it out saturday to my son's T-Ball game.

Kat, I may or may not recall alleged conversation concerning you piloting my vehicle. Therefore, we may have to re-discuss the terms ;)

It's not worth anything to me.I was just wondering. If I wanted to know who the guy was thats at the school there I would just pass a memo on to some friends with SF and just have them call me when he shows his ID at the gaurd shack:alright:

There was/is an open car show at Marathon today. The CCCC put it on but there were all kinds of cars there. Going on until 6 or 7 this evening I believe. There were some pretty nice cars there. General Lee was there of course. There was this stupid looking corvette, well a few of them, but this one was ridunk... had 750 hp though on the bottle. I think there are pictures somewhere I'll post.

Dave you were right about the CCCC. Somewhat. They were pretty friendly but some of their cars were retarded looking. With their off the shelf customizations". They were all oldER, I was definitely the youngest guy with a vette there by at least 15-20 years.

This car looks even more dumb in person! Note the large badge on the front fender. It says Nitrous Injected 750hp... those are all over the car in various places.

I was just about to run up there, but when I started to spray off the car I heard thunder. So, I guess I'm not going. At least I got the yard work done before Mother's Day.

By looking at those pictures, I'm sometimes embarrassed having a Vette. Good ole car clubs, gotta love 'em!

:alright: It's like riding a sportbike Nash. Theres always a few that make us all look bad.

Can you imagine how Charles would feel if he saw all of the juveniles driving the NSX's around Atlanta. Of course most of them have the sticker kits, whale tail spoilers, and 8" exhaust tips.

Uhh, some cars have those to provide additional ventilation in the cab. The vent on this vette is probably for 'looks', but it doesn't necessarily have to be...

+1 Mike, the majority of cars that have scoops are for rally racers to keep cool, other than supercars like Saleen s7, lamborghini diablo, gtr porsche 911 gt1, mercedes benz clk-gtr, lotus elise gt1, and the mclaren f1, that's the main purpose - ventilation. This style of scoop and where it's located would definitely be for ventilation if it were in fact on any car mid/rear engine or not.

Yea yea okie lets stick up for the guy that just made his vett look like poo...gezzz this assclown just made a american icon the laughing stock of any car show and you 2 wana talk about a vent too keep a driver cool. Yea well...how bout just tell this idiot to reach over and turn on his A/C??????????

I did not know about the scoop for keeping the driver cool. I always seen it in a side window so thank you guys for that info. But come on I know y'all dont think this guys car looks good at all???

I, for one, am not "sticking up" for the guy, or even implying that what he did looks good. He riced-out a Vette, I mean, how cool is that?

cooler then ricing out an NSX, but not as cool as ricing out a lamborghini.
