View Full Version : Finally got my bike! and questions about gear...

So I finally picked up my bike. Went up to NC to get it but it was well worth it.

It is a 2007 CBR600RR with 08 Silver fairings, two brothers exhaust, 06 taillight, framesliders, etc.

So now I have a helmet, jacket, and gloves. I need some good pants and boots but cyclegear doesn't have a good selection. I'm looking to get this jacket later, honda jacket (http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/sport/leather+motorcycle+jackets/joe+rocket_honda+factory+racing+leather+replica+ja cket) , So i think I'm stuck buying joe rocket pants so they will zip up.

Any advice on where to buy pants and boots and what boots to buy?

I rock Joe Rocket gear & cannot complain. Had a 30 mph'ish
lowside & walked away scratch free. I bought my gear at Champion.
That Honda Factory Replica is a sweet jacket. I tried finding one in
my size to no avail.

Slightly, it was painted to match by previous owner. Its usually not that noticeable, its just the light.

Its the ICON hooligan textile jacket, it has armor. It says its "inspired by motocross." It is a bit loose but they didnt have a smaller size and I got a great deal on it.

Don't mean to be a downer, but the armor and jacket will move a lot on impact, so at best the armor will probably be useless, and you might wind up with friction burns from moving inside the jacket. Still, it's better than a regular shirt.

Hey what size pants do you wear. I got a pair of Joe Rockets hardly used hanging in the closet. I'm not going to be wearing them anytime soon. Got to fat LOL

well crap. I wear a 30-32 size waist, it all depends on the brand i guess. Are they the blaster 2.0?

Hey Patrick, I need to get some gear but won't be in town for a little while. My question is I have no idea what size gear to get seeing how it all fits differently. Do you have stuff to try-on or do you order off of sizing charts and hope it fits right?

he has enough stuff in stock that its not usually a problem.
lets say you want a white joe rocket honda jacket, and all he has is the black/red ones... try on the different size ones of the same model, even though its the wrong color, then you know what size to order...

Well my main thing is leather pants. Of course I won't be looking for the Honda equipment due to the fact that I ride a Kawi. 'm looking at getting the right gear for the track, and no I'm not talking C.G.P. More like one of those tracks that has both right and left turns.

I bought some nice chaps from Patrick. They look great when I wear my tighty whities. Patrick keeps wearing them and running around chasing my goat screaming something about losing his virginity but, whatever. He got me a discount.
