Running Red lights

Did you guys hear about the law that would allow bikers to legally run red lights. The law has NOT passed but is being considered.

This law was brought up due to bikers having to wait at intersections for long periods of time due to bikes not triggering the lights.....


The law would allow bikers to run a red light if they wait at the light for 20 seconds and the intersection is clear.

Saw this on the news last nite....thought it was interesting!

ABATE was in support of this law. I am not sure how I feel about it yet! What do you guys think?

Sounds fine with me. I've had to do that several times, so it would be nice if it was actually legal.

I am all for that. There has been many times that I have had to do this. But I always make sure it is clear first and no cops around.

I do it all the time too. But then again when I do it there is no one in sight, that isn't really breaking the law is it?
