Just ensure they are straight from whoever you are buying them. For a 100 I would feel too certain but for 250 up they should be ok.
As for the R1 forks fitting, even if they did you would have to worry about changing rotors and possibly front wheels, get new calipers. It would be a big hassle and unless you have alot of money I would stick with F4i forks.

As crash said, make sure the are straight. Also make sure that there are no nicks, scratches, pitting on the coating of the upper fork tubes or you will be plagued with leaky fork seals.

search for an cbr/f4i forum.....most specific bike forums have a great deal more info on frankenmodding your bike....
the f4i's are used as an upgrade to older vfr's ie 94-97 (since they have more adjustment than stock)...and there are several types of forks which fit those (but only the super hawk and f4i without other mods..case in point the rc51 forks work but you need the correct year upper)....
now, once you find something that fits, cause there are plenty of forks that will mate up with the head, you're gonna need to research the design support weight/length travel on the forks and match those specs to the forks you wish to replace them with...
dk, i'm sure can confirm, but most modern repli racers are sprung for 175# at most plus f4i's are much (relatively) heavier than any new 600 or liter bike.....
as an after market option i know trac dynamics makes an after market fork for around 1200 which can be tailor made to your spec's....
which back to the original statement better to try and pull from a model specific forum where there several "nuts" who love to mod their rides ...
