I'll go. Its easy to get there. I'll ask Chad tomorrow if he wants to go.
I will go on staurday afternoon with Alec, stay over for sunday. I won't ride as that place is too slick, but may consider other track.
I'll be there, Myself, Gosnell, Guirey and Gary Stumb.

DK,
I don't know of anyone with traction issues there. Hell...I passed 2 different 125's in corners with my 50...I love the traction there.

Just to let everyone know their won't be a trackday on Sunday. Rob Bush posted today in my first link.

So only practice on Saturday, followed by racing Sat night...I'm still going.
DK,
I don't know of anyone with traction issues there. Hell...I passed 2 different 125's in corners with my 50...I love the traction there.
Last I rode an 88cc kit bike there it was like riding on 25,000 grit sandpaper from all the karts polishing the corners. No real grit outside of the concrete patches. Sucked, bADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDddddddddddddddddd.
Unless it's been repaved, i won't be riding and I have a 85cc motard at my disposal. Sidelines for me thanks.
Watch this time round and decide later if it is in fact better than I last rode the place.

Can someone PM me with directions or let me know where to meet you guys going?
Turbo storm
08-06-2008, 08:15 AM
Crash, or anyone else who needs directions.
Take 26 West to Columbia.
Merge onto 77 North
Take 77 to 20 East (short distance)
Take your 4th exit on 20 (White Pond Road)
Go right at exit.
White Pond comes to a tee 1/4 - 1/2 off the interstate. Go right at tee. (Fort Jackson Rd.)
The track is 1/4 - 1/2 mile down Fort Jackson Rd. on your right.
Not sure what time I'm leaving Saturday, and from where, but I will post as the time draws near.
See everyone there.

Jason you need to come with us to BTK. I think you will have even more fun at other tracks. Look at the SEMRA calendar. If you check out some other tracks you will see how much fun this can really be. Elgin will get you started but the other tracks get you hooked. You will see this is real racing. I'm ordering my parts tomorrow so I can try to make it.

At least there, Jason could put the power to use in the straights. Elgin is a litte tight for his bike to unwind.
jason 41
08-11-2008, 08:57 AM
Yeah its a pretty tight track, Still had alot of fun. I did ok in the race I got 5th but held second for a couple of laps, till I got ran of the track.
:smilebig:
Jason's effort did bring a smile to my face. He held his own until Darth Vader punted him on the 4th lap. Stuffing his front wheel beneath Jason's rear to stand him up on the tightest, slickest portion of the track.
Without crashing Jason had to make his way back through the pack. Noy being as experienced as the other rider's in the class, Jason easily kept the pace and could win one of these things in short time.
Big up Jason, enjoyed the show.

We got another race at Elgin on Sept. 20th. I know I'm in, along with Chad, and Pat. Jason, Steve, and Adam are probably in too. Professor Fate, Mac, and MK, you have been officially called out. This goes for anyone with a mini motard, or supermoto like Jason and Steve. Come out for a fun time. It is a fun small track.

great posters and funny, but it made it so i couldnt open the thread at work.
