This is the place for you to voice opinions about machines you have ridden and how they work in the "Real World"... Advice for new riders .... To praise products and gear you have used... To rip the stuff you you were disapointed

Thanks Steve for this site.

Great info on the 05 Gix1000. Doug is going to get one as soon as he can lock in on the colors he wants. If he takes it to the track, who will be able to get around him? Hehehehe, have some clean fun with this!

You already know that the new 750 is really one sick bike. It's proven itself aready. So let's see here, the new 1000 is way lighter than every liter bike ever produced. It has way more power than any 1000 cc bike. I wont even try to go into things like the ram air, suspension, brakes, etc. I will say this, in a 1/4 mile run if any bike can stay within a few bike legenths I would be suprised. The King ( Richie) is getting one within weeks as well. I feel kind of sad for the new R1's and zx 10's boys. I guess it's back to the usual, always getting beat down by those stupid ole gixxers. I tell you, when will suzuki ever stop!

Stirring some shit, eh? :jive:

I know... that you know... that with all the latest and greatest machines, it comes down to the rider, since all the bikes are so close in their respective categories :pals:

That's the only reason why I hate MLaddin. I love Suzuki's, I'm just tired of them dominating the track because he's on the :shotgun: one! Put hime on something else and give the rest of the bikes a chance in the the winner's circle! :shotgun:

That is the total truth on though on rider performance not bike performance...however...if you take a MLaddin and put him on a GSXR1000, ZX-10R, CBR100RR, or the R-1, which MLaddin would win??? :hail:

to tell you the truth, I would take any one of the 4 1K's. all of them handle nice, have good brakes, & have nice styling, I admit I like working on the suzuki's more than the others ( easiest to work on ) . It would just depend on what you wanted to do with it, if you had plans on building the motor, but they're all fun to ride, & have more power than us squids need on the streets ( but what do I know )

Well I got the zx10 and have been reeeeal impressed with it. dk and hem know i rode allot befor buying and decided on the 10. the new gix 1000 doesnt seem to have the ump that the old ones did. To be honest with you the bike that hangs with mine is the new R-1. this is because the 10 and the 1 have new gearing. AND IT IS SICK! 108mph in first! the newer gearing is where i think the sport bike world is going to. i am sure 06 gsxr will have it. the busa jast didnt fit and hate honda seats lol .

As for the ten... more power than you will ever need flicks around like a 600 and is very stylish.

cons mirrors are in bad location. front end is too light. Wheelie time.
Love the ten dont think i will be selling for a loooong time.

Whoever decides to get a 05 GSXR 1000 I will say this a you need to read it 3 or 4 times. BREAK THE BIKE IN THE WAY THE BOOK SAYS!!!!!! THE CYCLINDERS ARE VERY TIGHT!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU BREAK IT IN WRONG AND SOMETHING HAPPENS AND THE DEALER LOOK IN IT AND THINKS YOU BROKE IT IN WRONG IT WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRETY WORK!!!! The bike is bad ass. No other 1000 even come close to it. And might not come close to it for awhile. Just BREAK IT IN THE WAY THE BOOK SAYS. That is all I can say!!!

Well, Ty and his ZX10 and me and my CBR were neck and neck thru all gears. Both bikes are very fast. But when I say neck and neck, I mean it,....it was the closest race I've ever been in. His sprockets are 17f and 38r which seemed a litte tall to me but his engine is geared much lower than the CBRs. I think mine are 15f, 41r.

08-07-2005, 10:28 PM
yea the ten has a real tall gear. my 1st gear rolls like 108 {with wittnesses for all the haters} I want to do some more high speed runs befor i screw with it. but being in the tall gearing i get a nasty bogg on the track. but I allready know the solution need -1 in the front. but like i said want some more high speed runs before i do that.

BTW read the aug issue of cycle world. all the people who hate zx's 1 and 3rd for master bike. zx10 first , duck second, zx636r third, And yes the R-1 and Gx'1k were in there.

08-08-2005, 05:14 PM
what about those gixxers in world supersport the honda are waxing that ass there. depends on rider, you know that. your right, take trey yonce and yes he would wax that ass, but ask trey yonce which bike he liked better and he'll tell you the honda because when he rode mine, all he could say was how much easier it was to go fast on the honda than the gixxer!!! how bout this, put you on a gixxer thou and me on cbr600rr and i'll wax that ass. all i'm saying is you should ride all of them and then judge. something tells me that if you rode the gixxer and the cbr1000rr, zx10 and r1 back to back on a closed course you point of view MAY change drastically. on the street it doesnt matter!!! drag strip, well that's boring. (to me, no disrespect)

Trey doesn't count. He makes all competiors 1000's look slow even he's on his little 600.

I know at Jennings with a stock Honda that I still was not used to I beat the past Florida champion on his full superbike Suzuki. 16.5 wheels, motor work, etc. And Roebling. Lets not even go there. We were also beating up on two guys out there last weekend that had built ZX-10R's. They would only pull us a little on the straights. Just enough that we could't draft them. But we meet a guy down there with a CBR that he claims has 185hp. Going to try to get a few pointers from him before Daytona.

That's a nasty looking pic Kenny! I have to agree with Kenny and Matt. Trey would still be beating up on everyone no matter what bike he rode. Mat Maladin would still be the champ even if he rode a kawasaki this year. Have you ever noticed that, most of the top riders never use the bike as an excuse for not winning. On another note, nascar drivers always use the car as an excuse for not winning!

Barry, maybe you don't remember Mat Mladin bitchin about the RC51 kickin his ass and him complaining of the unfair advantage the twins had. If he was such a great rider he would have over come.

If Mat Mladin was on a Kaw he would not win. Well maybe if he was on the 636. If he was on the 10r he would get laughed at, passed and made a fool!! That bike sucks!! :reddot:

Mat Mladin bitchin doesn't count. He always bitches. However he did have a fair complaint about a little 750 racing against the 1000 twins, and he was still very competative. Now that the playing field is fair, where is everyone after the flag drops?

If he was on the 10r he would get laughed at, passed and made a fool!! That bike sucks!! reddot

Your absoultly right that the zx10 sucks as a roadracing bike. I was actually being a little factious. I was trying to point out just how good of a rider he is. Remember last year when he was on the old bike, and the suzuki's were definitely under powered compared to the CBR 1000's, remember Dave. Well you see how he pushed that old under powered bike to beat everyone else. Please give Mr Mladin his props, he is the best rider bar none in the AMA! You know what, I still think that if kaw could keep the zx10 running in a race, Mat could bring it along to win within a half a season.

I wish they would send Mat to GP. It was a couple of years back, Mat did a lot of bitching about Shawn Higbee's bike ( at the time a KWS racer ) being to fast. I like Mat as a rider, he is great. Get him out of the AMA! I would really love to see him on a better bike than what the AMA allows.

Ok I am preaty new to this but I was told when I asked why maladin was not going to go to moto gp, i was told that he was asked to come and test some production motogp bikes, then half way through the test or the weekend or whatever, he was asked, or polietely told to pack his bags and go back to the states. ( sound true):>>>>>>>>>>>>>??

even though im not a gp guy. I know alot of ten owners and most of them came off of zx7r's I would like to see Eric Bostom on the new 10. if he could win on the 7... ya know, just my Bs .02

Why doesn't the 1000rr get any love? I've dropped probably over 20 lbs and with my new map I'm sure that I'm around mid 150's to 160 in hp. Any Kaw are Suz owner thinking they have over 160hp stock needs to wake up.

I may not win the drag race but the ZX10 and GSXR1000 won't walk all over me, and I may surpirse a few.

Add a corner or two and you put Richie and Randy on the bottom of the list.

I'll give the red guy's there props, I here they make a great lawn mower. I actually rode my brothers 04 1000 RR around this past weekend. His has a full akro system with a pc. It is really a nice bike, but don't tell anyone that I said that. I personally think that all of the liter bikes are fantastic. It really comes down to personal preference of who likes what. I could own anyone of them and be perfectly happy.

You'd be happier with the Honda.

08-17-2005, 12:33 AM
here's some love for the honda

The thing i have found that as we beat down the more hp and lees weight door, we make the bikes more fragil. the honda is not as light. but can take a beating. if i was a track guy in training theis is what i would own a 1000r or a rc... probably the rc. but the hondas can go down and break 1/2 as much shit as a zx10r or a gsxr1000. i remember when stunters would run f4i's just because they would have a hard time breaking them. so IMO the honda line get's the toughest bike award. but damb that seats hard.

Your ass has to be just as tough and heat resistant with Honda CBRs.
