Hey all. I'm going on a loooooooooong ride with some buds. Does anyone have a set of saddle bags or any other form of travel bag that'll fit strapped to the CBR??
Maybe a large tank bag, strapped to the rear seat?

If i were you, i would just run a large backpack strapped to the rear seat. more then enough cargo room that way. With that, a backpack and a tiny tankbag, ive gone across the US and back..
i do have a small tankbag. I dont think it'll work for you, as its a magnetic mount bag, but you're welcome to it. I may have a second bag packed somewhere, but i havent seen it in years.

I've done the backpack strapped to the back seat on a ~1700 mile ride. Get two of those bungee nets to help keep it in place and make sure it doesn't touch your exhaust can. You'll need two of the nets because one isn't strong enough to keep the back pack in place and it will keep sliding into your butt/lower back. It's extremely annoying.

Thanks, guys. George, I might take you up on that bag. I'll let you know tomorrow. A super awesome friend of mine might lend me his saddle bags.

Careful that will rub the paint off with friction. Has a nylon bag on the back of my r6 going to MB a long time ago, took the clear and the paint right off.

simple fix... cupboard/drawer liners. the open weave rubber-ish kind.
its the same stuff aerostich (and a few others) sell for this reason.. it doesnt shift on the bike, but it lets the bag above it shift.
you can get a roll of it at lowes/homedepot/walmart/target/etc....
