Look, Let's not turn it into this. I did alot for the bike community in the past with the help of Champion Honda. There is no doubt they are invovled and dedicated to the community as we know it. As you all know, I left the bike buisness for around a year and missed it very much. I miss alot of my friends and I miss the sunday rides, etc, etc. Now I'm in the buisness again and I have the opportunity to do these things again, but this time with the help of another dealership. I approached Chris and asked to be a part of it and also brought some things to the table to make some really cool events happen. I am not in charge of bike night by any means and I'm not trying to push anyone out. I am simply trying to get back in the scene cause I miss it. In the mean time, enjoy the prizes and so forth. I wish you guys would reconsider and enjoy it with us. If not working here is considered a conflict of interest, I can see that, but I thought we were still friends.

I think you are missing the point Russ. We helped start Bike night, and if ECP is the official dealer that means we are not. So that puts evey other dealer to the curb. Now I have spoken with the Promoter and other dealers are aloud to atend. But if you read the post it seemed like it was just an ECP thing. The free bike thing is awesome! I unfortunatly can not spare any Ducatis as they will all be sold. Its fun to be #1:lol:. Anyway, Its a great Idea and bike night will be even better!

Bike Nights have been kinda whack lately with all the
"Professional Stunt'n". I just mentioned to Jason the
other day that Chad needs to have one night where
they could have a couple of race bikes & a Moto GP
video on TV. Maybe Wings Etc parking lot can be like
a mini paddock with all the shops having their own canopy
set up just to see who has the most friends. :yeah:

duc916 every saturday starting sept 20th we will be having a block party at wings etc....5-8 local bands starting at 3pm till.....there will be special designated parking just for motorcycles.....

the old school bmw/moto guzzi guys get together at ryans in summerville on tuesday at 7pm

hooters has a bike night every thursday also....with a bikini contest every fourth week or so....

sunday mornings the vfw's guys ride....

sunday afternoons at 1:30 are the treerides......

what's stopping any of you from saying hey guys i'm riding saturday let's meet for lunch at wings etc at noon.....hey wait after a few weeks it's gets bigger and bigger and now there's a "bike night" saturday.....

and truly i would love for you to come to my place but that's not really the point....the point is you can have a bike night any place "you" decide whenever you decide....

now your not always gonna get free stuff.... a free stunt show.....raffles.....live music...dj's......or a neccessarily welcoming establishment .....

which again not everyone wants... i really think a great majority of people here would be just as happy with great food, great service and a place to hang out with like minded people....(and as always i am sorry for any service failure we've had) i am always attempting to make it better.

which after this Tuesday it's what we are gonna place our focus on.....I'm not saying we aren't gonna do anything else spectacular it's just gonna be a little more diverse than what you've been seeing....and a lot more focused on the true comraderie of bike nights....

personnally i'd like to start a sunday morning ride for all you heathens out there .... maybe 8:3-9 am that ends up at our place at 12 for lunch and to watch football.......yeah i know it's football...but i can't help it it's enjoyable to watch.....

maybe even change it up every week to include centre point or that place wyatt works at ( shem creek grill ) i think ...don't shoot me wyatt we still frequent the place i just forget the name ... anyway its the one on the up river side of the bridge with the super cool roof top bar area.....wish i had one of those so we could sit outside and stare at burger king.....lol

can't we all get along???????????????????? why not have both of you as sponsors instead of driving a wedge in the biker community why not alternate bike nights every other tuesday or something how about some unity here so what if one shop wants to give a bike away and get some publicity how bout I raffle off a hammer or something and as for the charity thing if chad is paying himself out of the money raised for charity by selling raffle tickets then that is bs maybe someone should pay him for the promoting that he does but if you sell raffle tickets for a free gas card then every penn of that should go to that charity specified and I am sure that if someone is skimming off of the top or should I say embezzling of commiting fraud then they should be locked up if you do something for charity then it is done for charity not to make a profit or to get anything in return that my friends is not charity and the only way to prevent that would be to not participate but if it is legit then so be it and if chad wants to make money to to promote something then the only way i see that happening is by either charging a cover for these bike nights and what not or someone pay him out of their pockets not by selling raffle tickets that are for harity and then taking a cut

We used to help out with the tuesday bike nights "donations of apperal and what not" But Wings ect. has worked out a deal with ECP to be the Official sponsor. Which is great, ECP is gonna put on a great show. Now Champion will not go in there and try and compete or upstage ECP, they have put in alot of effort in to making bike night there own. So we just moved our bike night to Hooters.


Now as Far as what is going on with ECP, Wings Ect, and Caralina Motorcycle Promotions. Champion has nothing to do with that.

I have to speak up here for a sec then its back to the dark corner to watch and listen.

First. Chris Mc. not sure who told you or anyone I sold tickets for charity. Thats not the case. They were sold and ALL the cash went back into bike night. Thats kinda how the cost of the stunt riders from out of town was off set. Thats kinda how I was able to hire a nice young lady to sell the tickets and talk to everyone while I did other things. Thats were the millions we made this year went. If you don't like the fact that all that money went to hire people to come preforme and make bike night pretty good well...sorry all I can say is don't by a ticket.

Now as for Kenny and East Coast and why you don't see Champion and others along with myself at Wings anymore. Simple. East Coast wanted to be the only dealer there. Even though they don't sell Honda or Ducati. They wanted to be the only dealer allowed to set up at wings for bike night. Myself and others on staff wanted it to be open to everyone who wanted to come set up. So there for after all my hard work making this awesome bik enight what it was I have left and am now teaming up with Champion and Hooters to do what we can for the next few weeks. I only hope everyone can make it out to enjoy the things we have put together for bike nights at Hooters.

Now wings etc is yes still having bike nights on Tuesday. But CMP has moved there bike nights from Tuesday to Thursday. Now Tuesday is Kennys deal for now. So now I have said my peace and I will see some of ya Thursday and well...some of ya Tuesday till then ride safe and just enjoy the warm weather while its here, and remeber its just a bike night come out and have fun

That's the point, Champion and ECPS do not compete, we just have the best staff's in Charleston. Everyone know's if you are an enthusiast, you go to our stores. And yes one night would be neat, but it's about the money. I offered to split the advertising with Champion, but that's not gonna happen. They want there shot at it like we do.

Actually...Federal Tax Law requires you to file a 1099 in the name of the recipient. The recipient then has to pay income tax based on the value of the motorcycle. I'm sure the state will want their share of the taxable income too.

I should add, the federal tax the recipient would have to pay would be roughly 30%. So if he/her wins a motorcycle valued at $10,000 and $10,000 cash....then roughly $6000 will be owed to uncle sam. After sales tax and registration...that should leave a little over $3000 for accessories.

im pretty sure its a package deal... you get the bike and 10k..... and if im not mistaken, that would pay for most of the taxes and stuff on the bike.. with some cash left over for your pocket.

I'm a little late but, I've stopped in Wings for the Tuesday night bike night a few times and was planning on going a little more but even though it's clear now, I thought it was going to Move to Thursday because I saw a posting on Craigslist that said the bike night was no longer at wings on tuesdays and was now on thursdays at hooters.

why would that be a bad choice anyway? they're both worth about the same amount.. only one is much more practical, and fits what i do... the other is either a "look at me" toy, or requires atleast thousand additional investment to make it a track bike that while fun, isnt even the best choice for that....
