Have any of you been on this road? I took it for the first time on my way to Indy. Two words: NEVER AGAIN! Some of these were 2mph turns. I never took the bike out of first gear.

Where is it?

It looks like someone was writing a drunk love letter, and passed out in the middle of it.

Where is it? SC, NC, TN, KY, I know it can't be in Indiana.

If it's a steep face, that's about the only way to lay to road and make it safe/passable. I've seen in plenty of times.

It was steep. The friends I rode with were directly below me waving. Between us was a straight 30ft drop.

Just the one once we got off the mountain. We parked at a gas station where I sat beside my bike and tried to gather myself. I was shaken as hell seeing as I almost went off the ledge. Not the most flattering picture but it accurately portrays how freaked I was.

Ooof, I know that look. I've seen it at least a few times - once at the Gap, once on the track, and some other times :crap:

Yea, that's the same look where I contemplated if I had any business riding two wheels. That road was damn near out of my skill level. I know I wanted to call Acorn immediately after to tell her I love her.

The Gap is child's play compared to this road.

were you trying to take it too fast, did something happen, or were you just freaked because of the sheer drop-offs to the side?

I don't know. Maybe it was because the bike was lowered. Maybe it was because I have little to no experience hanging off the side of the bike at such low speeds. Maybe it was because in the middle of the turn the pavement either cupped or was SUPER steep almost vertical. Maybe it was that there was absolutely NO room for error. Maybe all of it together.

You're making me want to take a roadtrip. There's been a few times I've had a similar look on my face but after looking back those are some of the most vivid memories I have and they still make me smile. Maybe because I'm a little twisted in the head. I loved Deal's Gap when I rode through there. Not sure I'd go back there anytime soon because of the crack downs though. I don't want to be harassed just because I'm riding through there.

It's highway 85 on Cub Mountain. There were no cars or police anywhere near this road. It's truly a country road.

The closest city/town I see on the map is Shiloh, TN.
