5. Mike?
6. Mac?

with 10 people, we are looking at about $30-35 each to ride. This covers track fee, EMT, and insurance.
I do have a back-up plan for a place just off College Park road for free. It is similar to the course we ran on 78. I know the owner of the company, and it is up for sale. He wants to watch us run, and see how things go. This can be a place to run in the future if all goes well. We just need to map out the course, and clean the area a little before we run.
Let me know what everyone wants to do.
Dan
P.S. Jason...did the swingarm bearings work in your mini?

I will call Rob Bush today (owner of elgin track).
I also have some good layouts for the local place in College park. We just need to spend about an hour sweeping and seting cones for the first time. After that, it will be a simple dusting off each time we return.

It's a no go on Elgin for this weekend. It was too short of a notice. We may be able to get it later this month with advance notice...more than 2 days.
I scoped out the track we can make just off College park road. In total it should be just at 1/4 mile in length, compared to Elgin being just over 1/4 mile. Clean-up should not take long. Surface grip should be great. "Skully" and I rode thru, and had no problems. The place does have curbs, so there is a risk of damage in 1-2 spots if you low-side. If we bring some tires to place on the curbs, this may minimize the risk. I think motards may be fun there also.
I plan on going there at about 10am tomorrow with broom and shovel. I would love to get one of the blowers offered by you good people. Call me anytime today @ 754-8158(cell). Dan

You just need a class one hitch on that Miata to start with.:yeah: My design has changed from picture. Just need to pick up some tubing. I have access to a tube bender, lath, welders.
I tried to load pix through "manage attachments" it'll upload but not attach to post.

Something about that size might be fine - enough to haul two bikes if need be.

10-04-2008, 08:25 PM
It is rated to haul about 8000 or so. If you go and run on Sunday we can talk more about it.
