Well, I'm still in the desert and bored out of my f'n mind so I have been reading a lot of magazines. I picked up Super Streebikes today and while reading through the pages I stumbled across a little story about Harley owning 100% of MV's shares. I didn't even know Harley was interested in sportbikes of that caliber. What's up with that? Do you think they will have a hand in the design of the bikes or is it simply a money thing?

Plus, it's no secret that Harley wants to get back into Racing and this gives them a great chassis to work with. I don't see MV's quality going away, but we all know Harley likes to advertise ALOT!!!! So it is probaly good time to be an MV dealer.

I can!!! Plus I can add some skulls and chains too...:chin:

I'm sure we can braid some long leather tassles to hang from the brake and clutch levers.

yes, that combined with emissions. the "green" crap is becoming a big factor and well hop on or get left behind. why pay the $'s for the r&d when someone else has already done it?

I didn't even think about Harley expanding their sales in Europe. That is definitely a good idea. I just hope they don't try to introduce their styling into the already gorgeous MV line. I'm gonna be pissed if I start to see Harley design traits on the Brutale.

Another point of view...

When Harley developed the "revolution" water cooled engine, they had lots of reliability issues during testing. They tried many things, but still could not get it right. The designs were then given to Porsche to refine them. Porsche found some design flaws, and lots of tolerancing issues.
In the end, Harley needed European engineers to finalize their designs, and make them work. In my opinion, Harley now has European engineers on their payroll for future referance.
