Everyone had a pretty good weekend. Even Steve until the wreck. I got a 2nd, and 3rd place finish. The 3rd place should have been a 1st or 2nd at the worst. I just need to learn when to go. (There is a story behind that.) Anyway I was pretty happy with my 2nd place finish. The guy who beat me is the track owner by the way. He only beat me buy a front wheel length. My bike really ran great, thanks to DK over at Shade Tree.
Matt and Kenny from Champion Yamaha had some excellent races as well. Both of these guys are racing in the very tough heavyweight expert class on there CBR 1000's. Matt had a very, very impressive 3rd place finish there first race. For a second there, I thought that maybe Duhamel was on the bike. Both he and Kenny were just flat out rolling.
I cannot forget Jason. He is getting quicker and quicker everytime I see him. Both he and Steve are racing the 600's where there are a lot of squids. In fact thats why Steve wrecked, because of a squid. Anyway, both Steve and Jason ran very well. I think that Steve got a 7th on his first race ever, and Jason got a 5th. I'd say that this is a pretty good for someone just getting started.
TREY, what else can be said! The guy was really racing buy himself all day. No one was even close to him in any races, except the first lap when he was passing them. The boy just flat out has some skills. I want to make sure that everyone understands this. When Trey set the new ccs lap record at Jenning he was riding his R6. You do know that this was the unlimited grand prix shootout race. This means you bring the biggest, fastest most modified bike that you can bring to the track and race. This race is comprised of most people racing there modified gixxer 1000's, cbr 1000's, R1's, and zx 10's.
