I just remember when all the old guys like you, Nash, Crash, Barry, Kenny, Jason, Kat, Charles, Burns, and many others used to talk about motorcycle related things. Even if it's not related to bikes don't trash somebody's OP. Even Chads.

I just think it sucks when you log in, hit "new posts" and it's just a bunch of crap and the topic has totally gone to shit from it.

Kenny.. It started this summer before race season was over.

i think what we should do is set up a fight night with some of those monster gloves from toys r us and let these guys settle all the drama in the ring instead of the forums

The router thing in the wrong section is nothing. We have all done it. Me probably more than anybody else. Mike ends up covering my tracks correctly.:yeah:

That would be fun regardless of the reason... but it won't stop threadjacks etc.

Some of my ideas:

- move jack posts somewhere else (maybe a large, nearly-useless thread)
- outright delete jack posts
- close jacked threads

Of course, any of the above will be labor intensive, especially moving posts. Some thread jacks can be perfectly good discussions in their own right (such as this one), so deleting them would be counterproductive...

Easily fixed by disabling inline images. It'll save on page load times, especially for those with slower Internet connections/computers.

If there's enough valuable content for the threadjack relevant posts can be moved to a new thread. Most of the threadjacks seem to be useless banter, unfortunately.

...and that's how I see it too... so maybe wiping irrelevant images and/or the posts that contain them, along with a standard yellow card warning, etc.? I mean, shit, asking nicely hasn't worked too well.

That could work...delete the image and display something else instead...sounds like a lot of work for you and the other moderators though.

I think this thread has already sorted out the issues without Mike having to do any more extra work. The issues have publicly been stated. Let's see what happens and hope it works.

It's not a pay site, so really only mike and his sponsor ECPS can b!tch about it or for that matter do anything about it. Bottom line Mike has the final say and if he wants it gone. There are modifications to prevent people from post IMGs in threads.

I promise that from now on all IMGs I post will not be intrusive.
