Jason, I'm coming to see ya.

Please at least stash a mug for me, I really want to add a Duc mug to my collection.

If you come across anyone wanting to part with a mid '90's SS let me know, I still kicking my ass for parting with my 750ss that I brought back from Germany.

Rat bastards! :)

I stopped by to get myself a mug today. Younger sales Gent said he never heard of the free cups.

Later when I was leaving I was talking to the heavy set older Gentleman, I asked him about the cups. He said they were only giving them to those that have bought a Duc, then after a few months they'll give them away to those that are on their "buddy list"

I don't see any purchasing requirements on Duc's site. Oh well, I was hoping to get me one......

I can't believe they actually let Jason have some time off, let alone a whole week...

Those mugs are for people who bought a ducati in 2008 and the calanders are for spending $250 dollars or more and if you dont own a ducati dont count on getting one.

Sounds kinda like throwing a football through a hole to me.
I kinda figured they were not just giving away free mugs to anyone.

I'm not really worried about it, just razzing. The new shop looks nice, I'm glad you guys moved all the nice euro stuff away from all the cheap bikes :)

I guess my reading is not so good as I read the mugs were to celebrate Ducati's 2008 World Championship win, not for purchasing a bike.

Ducati North America wishes you a happy holiday season and wants to fill your stocking with our gift to you: a limited edition cappuccino mug celebrating our 2008 world championship win. Visit your local Ducati dealer to pick up your mug!*

While you're there, check out the latest Ducati Performance accessories and apparel. With a qualified purchase of $250 or more, you will receive a 2009 Ducati Corse calendar to help you ring in the new year.*

Visit your Ducati dealer soon! Supplies are limited!

I'll gladly by another duc, talk to me when you have an air cooled 2 valve 900cc in red that wasn't uglified by Terblanche and I'll buy it.

Yeah everyone in the free world come by the shop and get a free mug. If you present your Ducati key you can have a free mug. The mugs are for customers of Ducati. And its nothing like throwing a football threw a hole.:wall:

hahaha, I don't care that they're free, I would've gladly paid for one or two if I could but it didn't seem like that was an option.

Unfortunately I am no longer a duc owner, I do miss my old SS but I got smart and get a finer italian bike :)

I badly want an older 900SS or a 916.

My old 750SS that I brought back from Germany with me, the U.S. model 750's only came with single disk up front and full fairing only

with the 916style tail I fabbed from fiber glass, painted. I made the seat from an SV1k torture rack.

Stock tail section, the red seat cover I did myself

ducati doesnt officially publish real prices.... as they kinda prefer the current general publics perception.
alot of people see ducatis and think they're outrageously expensive... it kinda helps their image to perpetuate that...

also, like anything with dealerships, be it boats, cars, bikes or other, the price is dependant upon the dealer.. manufacturer has little to do with what it actually sells for.

and i totally understand that,i was just kinda hoping to get an idea of HOW much more expensive a new Ducati would be before i began showing interest in purchasing one(which by the way would be no time in the immediate future).

take the equivelent hondas published price.... and thats what you can get a ducati for.

now the ducati of course is supposed to be higher... but you're stupid if you pay that (sorry jason...)

and.. of course the honda is supposed to sell for that... but you're stupid if you pay that too (sorry again jason).

How the hell is it that probably the most prominent Duc owner on the forum manages not to get a cup?

So by now I'm thinking just about everyone who cares has at least heard of the free coffee mug Ducati is giving away to celebrate the WSBK championship?
Right.
I decided that with a day off to kill and the snow melting with all the freakin rain we are having now I would saddle up the truck score my mug, have a bullshit and drool on the new iron gracing the showroom floor.
Wicked.
With the holy grail safely resting on the passenger seat and me pretty stoked even though a view of the new stuff would require a future trip up there... I spy the Honda shop on the way home.
Bad move.
So there I am gazing absently at a CB Whatever when CRACK!
WTF!
'Is that your truck out there?"
That statement is never good LOL.
So...there is the owner looking sheepish, a new ATV attempting to occupy the same space and time as my poor Ford...SHIT.
"The throttle stucK"
Groan.
Good news they are good for it insurance-wise.........
Better news....mug unbroken!
Let this be a warning to others.....

Last time I heard that statement, some guy backed a forklift into my truck.
