Need some new tires before I get back on the road. Stock rims are still being used.
99.9% of my riding will be around town. I won't be riding in the rain either.
I don't want cheap tires but I don't want to spend a fortune either =p

if you're also going to be doing some 'spirited riding' at the tree or something, finding takeoffs from someone who has been to the track lately might be the best bang for the buck.

Check out Avons. Good mileage and good grip for around town.

I have a slightly used rear I'll sell ya cheap. I took it off my trackday bike (not a racebike) to put race...I mean trackday tires on. It's a Continental 180/55-17. I'd say it's got 75% tread left.
$40???
Michelin 2ct's all the way. Best all around tire on the market.:yeah:

I have the Metzlers and like them a hell of a lot better than the stock tires. I have about 3k miles on them and you can see a flat spot starting to appear.
A lot of input on different tires, but I'd say for quality and price the Bridgestone BT-016 multi-layer compound tire is hard to beat. You can get this set for around $200.

battle-craps??????? you can't be serious, dave...
I've never had a better tire than the Bridge battle craps. The ole BT-011SS used to be the shit! I've heard good things about the new ones, also, and they're going on my Ducati next.
For some reason Bridgestone tends to still have a bad name due to their crap tires in the mid-90's. Don't you think their tire technology from F1 and MotoGP would eventually make it on street tires? Remember they are the largest tire manufacturer in the world and spend the BIG $$ on R&D. So yeah...I'll stick with my battle-craps!

Good choice in my opinion. Let us know what you think after a few thousand miles.

Is that a Conti Road Attack? Let me know, I might be interested in it for my ZRX.

i like the m3's. good performance and good wear for a street tire.

Dunlops new Road Smart is a dual compound performance street tire. Something to consider.

if you want tires that last a while, ask mike k. what brand he uses. that mofo puts more miles on bikes every year than most of us put together!! (except for travis, maybe...but mike doesn't fall down as much...)

 Yeah, Steve (burns) and maybe Travis have me beat. I typically get 10K out of a rear and 15K out of a front Avon.

It's a ContiForce CC130. 180/55-17. If intrested, let me know. I just threw $40 out there. P.M. me with an offer if you are still intrested.
