That is the best they could do with all that bail out money? - Actually - pretty cool looking concept.

Don't worry I'm sure it would take GM 10+ years to produce it.

It amazes me while Chevrolet continues to make the Corvette more and more sexy, Ford is in the background progressively making the Mustang more and more ugly. Damn...I may have to sell the Pony and buy a 'Vette!

Thing is....Ford is giving people want they want. GM....Dragging their asses (or stopped) on producing the Camaro.
The Camaro is still targeted for spring, but I'd rather have the new CTS-V. IMO, the CTS coupe is one of the best looking GM cars ever designed.

They also had a good thing going with the Fiero. The top brass found out with a 3.8L- 300 horse v-6, the Fiero out performed the Vette. Suspension was completely redesigned on the 1988 model by Lotus. So, they finally had a car that handled great, and potential acceleration and speed with larger engines. They only wanted one GM 2 seat fiberglass/plastic car...the Vette.

Are you saying the Fiero had a 3.8l-300hp car or they considered that and said no? Becuase all they had was a 2.8l V6 making 135hp. Furthermore, I'm familiar with the 3.8l GM has used in other cars and it was no where near 300hp unless you are talking about the turbo Grand National/GNX engine. And that big car out performed the vette back then too. The Eighty's were not good years for normally aspirated stock factory horsepower.

Dan, the Fiero never made 300hp from the factory. The V6 engine (GT) only put out 140hp and the car weighed about 2800 lbs. The standard 4 made only 90 hp.
Funny, DJ....I was thinking the same as you.
