Well I know I missed out on this past weekend but time to start planning the next trip. I suppose Chris wants to head back around June 5 or 6th for court so that weekend sounds OK. Everyone else put up your dates if they are different. I know the following weekend is races at Roebling for some.

EDIT by Mike: added to calendar, changed to announcement and news

I have been talking to a lot of people about the 2nd Deals Gap trip. Right now it looks like that everyone is leaning to Friday June 4th and Sat. June 5th. Now I know that some people will go up on that Friday and some people like Donnie will stay over that Monday. Most people will probably just be able to take that Sat. and Sunday, which is cool. Now, who wants to go white water rafting? I've done it once before and it was pretty fun. So I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully Donnie is going to try and make reservations for that Sunday, either late morning or early afternoon. I know some people like me will be heading back to Charleston. Now the down side about that weekend is that the Deals Gap motorcycle resort is already sold out that weekend. I have an idea, how many of you would be interested in staying in Gatlinburg? It is a nice ride from Gatlinburg it the Gap. Also Gatlinburg is a lot of fun after the sun goes down. I think this would be a lot of fun. So what do you think? If not there then maybe Fontella Village. This is the closest place to the gap. I here this is very nice, they even have a pool. Either way, we need to start making some plans.

I highly reccomnmend Gatlinburg, especially to everyone who have never been. It's a wonderful trip to the Gap and gives you a chance to see some of the other roads in the area. Just be careful on the Foothills Parkway. That road has some nice fast turns in it, but I have not been on it once that I don't remember seeing a Ranger or a cop. Barry, that place you stayed at in Pigeon Forge always has specials for $29 a night. Lot's of fun. Post some pics and let me know how it goes!! I'll be with you in spirit.

Another place to stay is Pumkin Campground. Crash, me and a couple other guys stayed there one time. They have cabins that are really wooden sheds on steroids. The cool thing about that place was that the owners went into town for us while we were out riding and bought us some beef and drinks. When we came back we were ready for some grilling. The only downside is that it was on the other side of the gap...

Sounds good to me. Gatlinburg is pretty cool after the sun goes down. Count me in , Although I wont be taking a viper with me this time. If I have another one by then (and I probably will) its stayin' in the garage.

Alan, if that's you, just buy the '06 Z06 and get it over with.

If it's not you, then disregard!

Yeah I hear ya nash, I want the new Z06 coming out. They are supposed to start production on 7/25 of this year. It probably wont hit the floor until close to the end of the year. So for now I'm picking up a '99 silver ACR from virginia. I'm impatient I guess, but when the z06 gets here I'll probably be wanting to deal..

Alright guy's it's time to start making some plans. As you know the deals gap resort is full. I proposed that we stay in Gatinburg / Pigon Forge. I got only one respose with a yes. So, I am going to make plans to stay in Gatlinburg next week. I'll follow up with the hotel and the rates. Also, is anyone interested in the white water rafting? Next, we need to get a show of hand of who is planning to go. I'll start the list off. Just hit the quote button and edit your name into the list.

Nikki Davis - kaw 636

Well I talked to Chris today and I think we are going to can this trip and try again in late July. So if someone would start a new thread for July besides me maybe we can get more people cause I feel like a leper after this. I think Barry is not going but he will have to confirm that himself. Well back to the drawing board so to speak.

Hey guys I'm officially not going either. Since Steve, Chris, my wife and several others have bailed, I'm going to stay at home for a change.
