Ok so we need to talk....
Hooters has aproached me again.... I informed them that they need to talk to some people i know and.... well they kinda want to keep me around. {dont shoot the messenger} However they promised the world and deliverd shit. EVERYTHING that happened at hooters was a result of what the people did. Well hooters has openly appologized about there lack of sapport. But I know alot of us were talking about moving the event due to a piss poor effort on hooters part. But im really on the fence about this. Hooters has once again promised the world to me. {yea i know} But I was informed by a little birdy that on march 14th hooters set a record sales sence they have been in this town. so we may have opened some eyes here.... So with that said i would like your input....
I say give them ONE more chance, but also start checking into other venues. If they drop the ball again...

Let's review the facts.
Negative
1. Kenny previously dealt with them and had issues obtaining their support.
2. Trying to convey anything to Hooters management has proven a difficult task.
3. Hooters has been uncooperative/prejudice toward sportriders from the start.
4. The service and food have never been exceptional. The night of the event met an even lower standard than usual.
5. Hooters promised but failed to deliver:
a. flyers
b. beer truck
c. radio advertisement
d. beer girls
e. closed parking lot
f. radio interview
6. The night of the event, I don't remember one manager out in the crowd mingling making sure we were had what we needed even when we did deliver on the crowd.
Positive
1. Location
In my opinion, their chance and second chance have been given. Why not try a different venue that hasn't proven incompetent? I say if they want you, they'll work hard to show you. Let them chase us. In the meantime, there are several other places that might prove competent, willing, supportive, and proficient.
Hooters did a very sorry job displaying any professionalism. At my job, if a vendor proved itself to such a low standard, they would be eliminated as a possible future vendor.
My vote is not only no, it’s a [glow=red:6290bf2321]HELL NO[/glow:6290bf2321].

Thought of another negative.
Those of us with children might exclude ourselves from an event because it is not a family establishment. Had my daughter not wanted to stay with James, I would have definitely missed this. A few others have expressed the same opinion for missing last night.

How much more attention will we get when we throw that same amount of business to one of their competitors?
Lets just give a different place one try. If it works, great. If it doesn't, we can always use Hooters as a back up plan.
In addition to my negative points (what are we at now? 8?), with as many spectators as we had outside of their establishment, did they designate just one waitress to drink orders? NO. Not even after seeing the crowd. Just another item in a long list of negatives for Hooters. No amount of ass kissing is going to make up for the treatment/disrespect we received from the management. Talk is talk. Let them put their money where their mouth is and PROVE THEY WANT US THERE.

I think I have heard this argument about a hundred times. Here is the million dollar question that nobody can seem to answer - 'Where else can you put an event like this together?'
Not saying there is not a place, just saying nobody can ever seem to offer a good suggestion.

Good points all around, If you remember Kenny tried having it at that biker bar on rivers, it wasn't all that great and it kind of killed bike night for a while. I do know that we talked to some people at WW north chuck and they were kind of Interested.

I will say the service was shitty. Took about 45 for me to get a sandwitch. This was after everyone else at my table had goten their food and eaten. Laura did make mention that a lot of the girls working that night were new. My only thought is hooters did not antticipate the responce this idea was going to have. Honestly, I don't think any of us antticipated it. But it almost seems like they blew off the idea befor it got off the ground.
I will say I think we have the upper hand now. We managed to generate a record sales night for them. It now becomes there loss if they fuck with us after this. I say, we see what we can get out of them.
Not to say it was a bad event. I like to think everyone had a good time regaudless. FOr the most part, I tink the whole thing went together pretty well.

TJ Tommy's looks like a good spot. Not sure if the lot has any overflow though.

I know I did not make it all the way to HooTERS that night. I have only been to 3 hOOters. The Charleston one, one in Indy, and one in Tampa Bay. Out of those 3 the Charleston one really really really really sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! :evillaugh: :evillaugh:
Them cock sucks!!!
Lets maybe start talking to other pubs and see if they will let us have our fun. At least that way we are going to get better food no matter where we go with it.

I think all of you have made some good points, but I have to side with Kat and Jason on this one. Kenny has tried time and time again to get things going with Hooters. How many times do you need to be kicked in the teeth to understand? I say we need to look to do this at another venue. The main issue would be trying to do the 50 races. It's going to be tough to find a place with the space to sign off on this, but it's not impossible. How important is it for us to do the 50 races? I would love to have this at Wild Wings or the Noisy Oyster. I know that they both would treat us right. McGuires is to far away and so of the other spots mentioned are kind of chopper / harley hangouts.
I didnt think the fiddy races were important untill i was in the middle looking back at yall. the crowd was yelling and pumping fist and really diggin it. so i would say REAL important

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I just read the other forum. Let us focus on what we need out of a venue instead of looking at what Hooters did or did not provide us.
We need:
a parking lot
cooperative management
advertising
good food
good service
What venue can provide this? And not only provide this, but provide it in a manner that all needs are met adequately?
Has Hooters been able to meet our requirements? If given another chance, could/would they? If not, where else can these needs be met?
Randy, I would just like to reiterate how well you did getting the word out and pulling off a fun and safe gathering for sportbike riders. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. Thank you again.
