The layout looks nice and technical, so why do some/many of you think the track sucks?

For me Mike, I could never get a good grove on it. Plus the surface is not that great. To me, I can ride throught the track surface. I couldn't get comfortable on it.
If someone had a track day there "hint hint"...would I go hell yes.

From what I have heard some love it some hate it. To get on the track from what I hear you have to ride through dirt coming out of pit lane . People always tell me for some reason it is always real hot there.

CMP sucks in my opinion. The track turns and curves do not flow smoothly, the surface is to rough, sand tends to get on the track from rain washout, and there are rumble strip in certain corners. Would I turn down the opportunity to go to CMP, probably not, but if I had a choice would I would go to Jennings or Roebling first. CMP is no hotter that Roebling or Jennings. If you want hot, go to Jennings in August.
well this same topic is going on, on the other side. i say its time to head on down to jeen town again.
I'm looking forward to the next Roebling trip.
Why roebling? jennings is a much better track.... and were welcome there too! Hell everyone bitching about hooters and not a word about the track natzi's

I like JGP more than RRR, in almost all respects. I just wish I didn't get so much grief about photography there, That's my own unique problem - from a rider's perspective, JGP is better in every way, but I spend much more time shooting than riding, so...
However, RRR has two significant advantages to me:
- proximity - 3 vs 13+ hours total travel time/cost is hard to ignore; then there's the cost of spending the night in comfort (somewhat mitigated if camping)
- photography is a non-issue, and I was given free rein at the track; biiiiig plus for me
It's funny you should ask... both RRR and Hooters were a lot of bark and no bite, but the difference lay in what the lack of bite meant with each of them. With RRR, it meant that no one actually got kicked off the track, or really chewed out; they seemed irritable for a time, but it didn't amount to much other than being a little more politically correct and diplomatic with them. With Hooters, their lack of bite meant that nothing that was promised was delivered; their lack of bite translated into a long list of broken promises.
A bit OT: as far as Hooters goes, YOU did good, THEY fucked up, so please don't take our unanimous criticism of their lack of professionalism as criticism of you, m'kayy? :smile
