How about... a little Sunday ride, maybe some 50's, maybe some video games, a BBQ, followed by the race?

Sounds great! I can get everything but the 50s. The 250 race is on at 2 and the GP guys are on at 3. I have plenty of room for several people.

Does everyone know where I live??? If not, it's off Old Trolley Rd in Summerville. Brandymill subdivision. Once in Brandymill make first left, then next left. This puts you on Thomaston Ave. Go all the way down to the cul-de-sac and I'm the on the right #424.

Come on guys, we can get more people together than this!! So far we've got:

Barry
Dave
Mike
Steve
Chris (hasn't confirmed but I know he'll show)

Hey guy's I just wanted to help Dave out. So far there's only 12 people on the list of folks who's coming to Dave's to watch the race. If you want to come that's great, but he must know in advance. So add your name to the list if your planning to come. Don't just show up and bring 2 or 3 buddies along. He needs know exactly who's coming. His wife would kill him if he said 12 people were coming and 25 showed up! So if you intend to come add your name. BTW I'm bringing boca veggie burgers and a 6 pack of mic ultra beer. If your bringing something please let Dave know.

did you see that horrible wreck in miami (IRL) during practice?

Nash
03-27-2006, 05:43 PM
Yeah Dave, I saw that...It was horrible. Last night I was watching Speed, and this guy who said he has been covering IRL for over 15 years said everyone knew it was going to happen. The reason being is the drivers get a ride by having money not skill. If you can find the sponsors you get a ride. All other racing is tough to get into, you have to work you're way up to prove your skill skill. By what this guy was saying Dana didn't have the skill and shouldn't have been out there.

Several of the drivers have spoke out about this before, and they get shunned to shut there mouths, or they get told that it's just envy because she's a woman. Marketing is powerful. She is what there sport needs to get attention so there she is. That's why I like NASCAR, motocross and motorcycle racing. You will never see someone there who hasn’t worked to get there. You can't fake these skills. I like drag racing to but I know that yea who usually has the most money usually ends up on top. Drag racing has a very simple equation. Lots of Money = HP

God damnit..... ok i need to clear some shit up here. Dragracing isnt a money thing yes hp is a big thing but there is a shitload of skill in this. do this go outside run your bike up to 7k and release the clutch in first.... there are all kinds of issues, tire breaking tracktion the dreaded 12 oclock wheelie and lord forbid the wreck! and i havent even went 60 ft yet....! then you have misshifts and poor rebound set ups. I so fucking sick of hearing this it doesnt take skill shit. thats like saying makeing blankets isnt hard because you can buy them at walmart. well no shit but makeing them is a pain in the ass! But hey whatever. playing on a dragstrip and running 8s yea thats easy but thats not dragracing either. please refrain from knocking a sport in witch you dont understand. hop into my shoes for a night... hell i jumped into yours.
