I still haven't seen one one the street, but I talked to Mike with the Pack and he rode one in Daytona. He said it looks better in person, and he also said the thing is very strong. He thinks that stock for stock it's going to eat the busa's alive. Are they on the streets in Charleston yet? I think on the ugly scale they definitely beat the busa already.

i found the articale on that day and on the bone stock one with absolutely nothing ricky gadson ran a 9.92@144mph identical to the stock 1000s that sportrider lists

I think its ugly. Having said that i'll do a simple power to weight ratio with it. MY GSXR 1000 (365 LBS(DRY) DIVIDED BY 163HP)=2.39 LBS PER HORSEPOWER. THE ZX14 (474 LBS(DRY)DIVIDED BY 190HP)= 2.49 LBS PER HORSEPOWER... THATS IF IT ACTUALLY MAKES THE CLAIMED 190HP THAT KAWASAKI SAIS. I THINK ITS TOO BIG AND HEAVY. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO RIDE A COUPLE OF WHEELIES ON ONE THOUGH.

Well I was really itching to see the new 14 in person. I finally saw on in Columbia last week. Kawasaki has really done it and my hat goes off to them. They now have the ugliest sportbike on the street hands down. I wouldn't care how fast this thing is I wouldn't ride one if you gave it to me. Now on the other hand Kawasaki deserves an award for the new zx 10. To me this is the sexest new bike in 06. I just absolutly love it. Can you imagine how it would look with a good set of aftermarket cans on it! I must have looked over this thing for at least 30 minutes or more. One more thing that I must tell you all. I sat there and watched the sales man there, talk a grown man into buying a 06 Kantana 600 over a 05 R6 for his GF. I really wanted to just grab the guy and tell him what a big mistake that he was making, but he and his GF were all smiles so why piss on there parade.

yea have seen that alot.... the new 14's are here. i have seen them. if the owner had a 10mm allen they could EASILY drop like 20-30 lbs off this thing. it has more sport touring bs than i have ever seen.... but yea it's butt ugly but fast as hell... some more info i gathered.. The 14 is NOT a zx12 motor bored out. i have seen the 2 side by side and they are completly diferent. here's the kicker the 14's motor is smaller! i also found out the 14's head design was based on the zx-10 witch in turn makes the zx14 sound like a 10. Same intake sounds and exhaust. now there is something i did hate about the 14. the 14 handle bard are 3 inches longer than the zx10's EACH SIDE!!! for a total of 6inch wider grips. this makes the bike feel like shit..... shit ton of power but vortex clip on's and all that sport touring shit removed i think this bike would be awsome...ugly but awsome.

well in all fairness this has been the way for years.... kawi has the 99zx6 then sazuk with the 2000 busa then kawi with the 04 zx10 and now the 14. to be honest i really was hoping hondas new cbr was going to do good.... that way we have 3 companys trumping each other and we reap all the rewards.... better bikes. however the new cbr did fall short this year and now kawi is on top. they will be there for about a year or hell even maybe 2 but then it will be sazuks turn. who benefits? we do.

i think that you read the tickets wrong the best that i see is a 6.14 in the 1/8 if i am not mistaken the 1000's are getting those numbers
