Mike how beneficial are the three courses? I am thinking about taking the intermediate course. Kat recommended this as well.

I'm certain that the beginner course kept Kat out of the hospital or worse on her very first night out. As for the intermediate/advanced courses, I have no personal experience with their effectiveness, but considering the caliber of the instructors, and the history of the program, they're almost certainly beneficial.

You can't just throw a statement out there like that willy nilly. An SUV pulled out in front of Mike one night and did a brake test. Apparently their brakes worked for him but not for me. I was following less than 20 yards behind and was directly in front of them when they began to pull out again. I maintain it was my ninja reflexes that saved my ass, but Mike is convinced it was the safety course. Gosh....

Extremely beneficial! Probably 75% or more of the people here need to take this course, but they wont. Motorcycling is a dangerous recreation. No person can ever have to much knowledge or experience. There are several of us here that have taken motorcycle racing courses. These give you the same information and skills that you can apply on the street. Are you prepared for that SUV to make a last minute left turn right in front of you? Have you already mapped your emergency outlet? Have you been practicing emergency braking on your bike? Do you know how to use the push / pull method to quickly change lanes? If you have to do you know how to lay your bike down to avoid the head on collision? If you answered no to any of the questions above, you need to take one of the classes. This is something that could possibly save your life.
