View Full Version : Cornerjunkies logo, promotional materials, etc

Mike

OK, so the site is up on a new server, bigger, faster, with tons of storage space...

Now, what about the logo? Promotional materials? Anything else to improve visibility, membership, etc? Any ideas on who would be interested in sponsoring the site (in other words, helping me pay for this place)?

I'll have some business cards to give out soon, but the design is temporary, and I'd like something better, more permanent.

Might not be any of my beeswax but what does it cost to do what you are doing usfor all of us sir?

I know it is not cheap. But if I saw some guy willing to give up 1 million I would love to know just so I can try and keep most of the million.

Who have you tried for sponsorship so far?

i've thought about a little logo, maybe a yellow diamond street sign with the multiple curve arrow (that's idicative of the corners we like to run). i know i get happy when i'm riding and i see one of those signs, especially when it says for the next 20 miles.

Money wise it's not too bad, but the time put in is another story.

Actually, I haven't tried anyone yet, which is why I'd like some ideas. Maybe something along the lines of local businesses and national manufacturing/mail order places :chin:

Advertising is something that can definitely be done here Mike. Your the site owner so you can take it as far as you would like to. For a small fee you could advertise for several of the motorcycle shops, stores, and resturants that us bikers frequent. Or you can ask for donations on the main page. We had talked about getting t-shirts made up at one time. I think there was an overwhelming response with that. Of course there would be a small mark up to help pay for this site. Also advertisers may want to buy into having there names on the shirts and the site.

Oh yeah, the shirts, I almost forgot about those.

I'll be talking with Keith soon about getting some vinyl done, too.

Anyone have a hookup with a sign place? I'd like to get a banner made.

I know of at least 4 or 5 racers on this site would love to put a conerjunkies.com sticker on there race bikes. Thats another thing, come up with a cool small logo sticker. I'm sure a lot of people will put these on there bikes. Then you could have the regular size ones to be put on bumper stickers, race bikes, trailers, etc. Now let's get moving with this shirt thing. It would be really nice if us deal gappers could have some way of representing our group while out of town. Wouldn't that be real cool if we all had our cornerjunkies.com t-shirts on?

I'll work on incorporating both ideas tomorrow. Also, I'll put it on a black background with the logo in white to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Work got me thinking. We need tshirts, stickers, business cards, vinyl, etc, right? Well, obviously that takes money. When the clubs at the school need money, they have fund raisers. What if we do the same? We have enough girls now. What if the girls hosted a car wash? Or we held a raffle? Or a silent auction? Or a casino night? See where I'm going with this? Would you guys be interested in helping with something like that?

Mike, you and I might want to check what we need to do to sponsor a motorcycle club here at the college. The guidelines are below.

General guidelines for student organizations
There will not be two student organizations of the same type and
purpose unless administrative approval is granted.

TTC student organizations shall be open to all currently enrolled
students, faculty or staff without discrimination on the basis of race, color,
gender, age, national or ethnic origin, religion or disability.

TTC student organizations shall adhere to the regulations and
procedures as outlined in the guidelines for student organizations entitled
The Common Denominator as the basis for establishment, operation and
continued existence.

Step 1 - Establish the name of your student organization and determine
an educational purpose for the organization.
Step 2 - Identify one or more full-time TTC faculty or staff members to
serve as the advisor(s).
Step 3 - Recruit a minimum of 10 students to join the organization and
submit a list of their signatures and printed names to Student Activities.
Step 4 - Write a constitution that states the name, purpose, membership
requirements, officers’ duties, election process, financial matters, meeting
requirements and amendment methods. A sample constitution is available
in Student Activities.
Step 5 - Submit the constitution to Student Activities for approval by the
director of Student Activities, assistant vice president for Student
Development and vice president for Student Services.

Failure to follow these guidelines could result in disciplinary action.

The student organization will be something the instructors can advertise and will catch all the newbies.

Ok...Old Business.

I am redesigning the tshirt for CornerJunkies. (Why didn't you guys tell me the last design was gay?) Anyone know a silk screener or where we might be able to get a fair price on the shirts?

Keith, you still reading posts on here? Can you help me out with some stickers? I'm redesigning those also.

Ideas thoughts on a possible fund raiser to pay for these lovely items?

if it helps.. i atleast knew it looked like a molecule... i didnt know it was adrenaline, or even that it was intentionally shaped like one... but it looked like a molecule... lol.

what about something involving a curved road sign style?

jamie knows of most of the people on here, so he's pretty good to us all. hell, i think he did the number plates and decals on all the champion bikes the first year i raced. if he's still around, kieth does good vinyl work, too, and it wouldn't hurt to support one of our own riders. he's also got less overhead, so maybe cheaper??
