I wasn't sure where to put this.

There is a very diverse group here that may offer just about anything you need done. I figured we could use this space to advertise our talents/business to help each other out; i.e. Keith does vinyl, Todd pressure washing, Andrew paint, Mike photography and computers, etc. Mine are listed below.

Practical Talents:
Graphic Design; flyers, business cards, forms, invoices, invitations, applications, etc.
Database design
Spreadsheet design
Resume drafting
Business budgeting

Connections:
Because I worked in Student Services of TTC, I can guide some of you through our requirements, course information, financial aid, admissions procedures, transcript evals, orientation, etc.

Todd, we've been doing the separate thread until now, but I think having everything in one thread, with maybe a link to more detailed threads, would work even better. This thread could be like our yellow pages.

I see you got your cards from what looks like vistaprint. Good company, fast service; I just had a bunch made and delivered. Had I known that your were ordering some, we could've combined our order and saved some on the shipping (I had mine expressed).

Yes, I'm still up for that, but you'd have to talk to Kat to get a look at her place to let me know what you think would be fair. We still need to talk about what sort of web presence you'd like (name, duration, design, etc).

Cool man you can either call me or I can call you if thats cool. No rush....Ive got a lot of house washing jobs the next few weeks. Tell Kat to give me her address and I can swing by and figure out whats fair. I will give you the quote as if you were just another customer and you do the same to me....this way we can at least get a ball park figure. How much does it cost to keep a website running on a monthly basis?

Hey Jrock! Welcome to the site. We have a contract job in my department open. At the moment, its lots of cabling. Most of our full time employees are hired from our contract positions. Interested?

There are plenty of jobs for someone with your qualifications. The best IT jobs (read: best paying) around here usually require a security clearance, so if that's not an issue for you, the only thing left would be your willingness to move here (as affected by salary, cost of living, etc.).

Hey Guys,
I decide that I was going in business for myself. I am a very qualified computer network engineer. Have all necessary certification to backup 8 years of experience doing support and being a Microsoft instructor. IF anyone is looking for any IT help please keep me in mind. If you need my services, I will greatly discount my services for any Corner junkies member. I offer a wide range of services and if it’s a service I don’t offer I can put you in touch with someone that does.
Thanks

Hey All,
Since we're on the subject of businesses and supporting folks that share our interests, there's a FANTASTIC authentic mexican restaurant on Trolley Road between Dorchester and Midland Pkwy called CONSUELO'S....check it out. (My opinion only, but once you've eaten there, you'll never eat Mexican food anywhere else, period). The address is 1704 Old Trolley Road. The couple who owns it are the nicest people you'll ever meet and David rides a ZX-10. Not only is the food amazing, and the people outstanding but he's an ex-Marine. Three of the best reasons I can think of to give 'em some business!
