A bizarre accident during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix put Ferrari’s Felipe Massa in hospital. He suffered bone damage to his skull after a suspension piece from the Brawn of Rubens Barrichello was thrown into his helmet, ripping away its side and causing an injury just above his left eye. He was travelling in excess of 150mph when the missile — an internal spring from the rear damper of the Brawn weighing 800 grams — hit him. He immediately lost consciousness, hitting the brake and throttle pedals. The Ferrari raced straight into the tyre barriers on the outside of the Hungaroring’s turn four.

Ouch.. I got hit HARD Sunday by a rock the size of a Silver Dollar. Don't know where the hell it came from, but a car had just passed. It took a nice little piece out of my helmet.
