I was just listening to 98x and they was a comercial on the radio. Now I knew EastCoast IronHorse put up a place on 17A in Summerville. From what I just heard that EastCoast IronHorse is call EastCoast PowerSports. It is a New Suzuki dealership!!! :cheer: now no one has to deal with the bone heads on Dorchester. =D>
Any of you folk been in there yet??? Going toward Summervill get off at the Moncksconer exit and they are not far on the right side after a couple of lights.

How in the world did they swing that? There is already a Suzuki dealership in Monks Corner and North Charleston. BTW I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from dealer off Dorchester road.

Damn, that's pretty bad. Why the bad rep?

The only way I think it worked is maybe Lukes sold the one in Monksconner. I have heard that it was for sell.

I will be fair and not spread my personal opinion of the dealership online, but if you ask me in person I'll let you have it all.
The new place is niiice =D>

I saw a couple of sportbikes, but I think they were used. According to Adam, crates will be arriving soon (I think he said this Friday? Next Friday? soon in any case...).

did y'all notice the prices for a mount and balance of a rear wheel? $140!! that's why i'm sticking to sportbikes. that's about the price we pay for the rear tire.

I guess this is what's called the reach around after you get bent over from buying the bike? I'm pretty sure those monster size 300 tire ain't easy to mount and balance, plus they probably had to pay a mint for the tire changing machine.

It takes a lot more time to take the tire off the bike than it does ours.
IF im doing my math right thats about 2hrs of labor. them things must be a REAL pain in the ass.

From what I have learned from my harley friends, there are some bike out there that take up to 6 hours to change a tire on the bike. That is start to finish.

now that's just ridiculous. guess if you're "blingin" it doesn't matter. just not my cup of tea, if you know what i mean.
a nail in the tire WOULD justify a plug

yeah, but they still have to get the tire off, break the bead, remove the tire add a patch plug (no telling how much they'd charge you for that), balance it, then mount it. i'm guessing $150-$170.
i don't know of anyone in their right mind that would run just a plug. think about it, you own a $35,000 bike, doesn't it make sense to keep it vertical. personally i won't take a chance with just a plug. (don't get me wrong, emergency plugging is fine, as long as you don't push it and get it taken care of soon.

i wouldn't run a plug in any bike so for those of you that would let me know so i nkow who to sell my holy tires to.............next thing i would charge a higher rate as well even if it took me 30 minutes.........noone ever looks at the liabilty these guys take. if you take a wheel off that cost at least 1500 dollars and it gets scratched over a 50 dollar charge then who would want to deal with that

Thats why them bikes are so uncomfaortable, so that you don't ride very far and the tires last at least 2 seasons.

I was in there during the open house lots of sportys in there and everything else you can think of. Guy in the pic with the lil note pad is Adam.. great guy! very knowledgable and has been working there for a long time, guy has always been into sport bikes and any other cool toys us guys like. He has always been good to me.
As far as the prices, any of you guys should know if your running with the big dogs (no pun intended) it costs money. You own one of these kick ass machines (i do) then you grin and bare it and pay. Barry and Chris are right lot of money in those machines and no one wants there expensive billet wheels marred or scratched, also keep in mine Metz 880 are no where near as soft as M1 so you will be surprised how long those things last and when you have a 240-280 you dont spend much time on the side walls and those things wear really well. I have had friends go 8K on them and could have got more if they hadnt went through a burn out pit (not recommended on a $30K + chopper)
Its all what your in to.
As far as deals and service yall have to find out first hand. I buy all my toys used...
