I am new to the area and am looking for some places to ride the CR.
I am relativly new to the area and am looking for some riding buddies. I pretty much suck at MX, but is is fun as a cross trainer for Roadracing.
Welcome to the site Chip.
I'd like to know the same thing. I bought a small dirt bike (CRF 150), and would like to ride some trails every now and then. Either that or sell the thing if I'm not going to ride it...

Well I absolutely love riding dirt bikes with my son. I like it almost as much as I like road racing. Like you said it definitely helps out with getting in shape for road racing. Two weeks ago my 13 year old son and I went to the wambaw trails. I was wore out. We hadn't been in like 3 months or so. We are ramped back up now and we will be going at least once every two weeks or so. Unfortunately I will be gone out of town the next couple of weekends, but if either of you guys want to make sometime during the week just let me know, I'm available. Will either of you be able to go next Friday or Saturday morning? Below is a link to the SC motorcycle trails. Wambaw is the one closest to us.

That looks cool.......I don't know if the my CR125R would last 40 miles on a trail.....I might have to re-ring it half way through. :smilebig:
Sounds good. I guess we have an official dirt thread :smilebig:

If you are willing to drive an hour or so there are a couple of tracks in the area. I cant remember the names of them all but you can do a search on the internet and find out. Wambw is kind of boring in my opinion.
hey someone ask chip what the difference between racing and trackdays are? :lol:

Easy....
Racing = Sex
Track Days = Wacking Off
I love wacking off as much as the next guy, but it ain't the real thing.

This is the perfect example Chip. Do you mind if I borrow that one? I have been asked this question before time and time again. My answers have never been as good as this. It is so true. This is exactly why am broke and all my money goes to racing, trying to get the next n@$.

This Saturday morning April 29, my son and I are hitting the wambaw trails again. Since it has rained pretty good, I guarantee that the trails will be excellent. Join us if you can.

Hey yall,
Kick -n -Horse Saloon out there on 17 has a motocross track that is pretty cool. Really great track for you dirt bike riders, has a little bit of everything. Woops, triples doubles. You can ride what ever you want to out there. I took my 400ex out there and had a blast, just wasnt balsy to hit some of those double triple out the gate. Still had a blast on my sport quad. Highly suggest trying it just once. If you dont wake up the next day feeling like you spent 4 hrs in the gym you wasnt riding hard enough.
Ride as long as you want till sun down, i paid 15 bucks a person but i have heard fo rpeople riding for less who know certain people. Last time i went, after a coulpe hours i had the whole track to myself.
Food for thought
