wELL IT HAPPEND CCS called me today and bumped me up to expert. They said due to the Championships I won last year I am no longer to race as an amatuer............I guess this is the death of team cherrypicker. I'm just hoping the speed ferry comes and visits me one night before my next race

This is where you belonged all along. Like Kenny said, you can't get faster by beating up on everyone. Hell, you won 2 championships last season as an am. There is nothing else for you to gain at that level. Congrads on your new status you earned it.

Comming from a fast Mutha Faaaaacka like you , thats a big compliment thanks. :hail:

I don't think I was fast at all that weekend. I was 7th fastest out of the 600's in practice, but that was just practice. That Kinda gave me false hope hahaha.
I didn't get below a 1:21 all weekend but yet have ran a fluke 1:19 and mostly 1:20's -1:21 in practice so I was expecting to be faster in my races ..... but that didn't happen.
Oh well , I have alot to work on but I'm having alot of fun!
It was good meeting ya , see ya at Jennings.

I bet by the next time u race there you will be in the teens, but 21s in practice is good, U should do the CCS races there I won a couple running 19s last year :wtg:

I was thinking about doing some CCS events at Roebling and maybe even Jennings, just for practice.
Maybe I should get more serious about that idea and find out when they race there this year.
You definately have the right idea, doing as much tracktime / racing as you possibly can.

A WERA guy named Seth Starnes has already WON 15 races this year ....... Faaaaaaaaack! He entered 26 classes and won 15 ,the other the 11 he DNS.So he won every race that he started.

holly shit.... so yea that guy has alitle sponcership money rollin in lol

Well its good to see team cherry picker disassembled. I wonder why the rest of those sandbagging SOBs get away with it in WERA? Anyway I am sure you will only get faster which is the point anyway at which case you will start winning again.

the way they get away with it is they didn't win any Championships last year, the only reason I stayed Am is that I didn't think I was good enough to race with the experts, And honestly I wont be winning any races anytime soon the best I could hope for is some top 10s this year. But next year those fuckers better watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :evillaugh:

I can KIND OF see the arguement of a top 3 novice who never won a championship protesting to stay novice one more year because he wants to win a championship before he moves to expert where the chance of winning a championship is drastically reduced ..... kind of.

You should only have one chance for that. If you don't get a championship to bad. You lose. I didn't. Did I cry. No. Amateur class is for BEGINERS ONLY. Just because you cant win on a Expert level doesn't mean you cant race at a expert level. The trophies and money for amatuers should be left to the actual amateurs to fight for. I hate cherry pickers. Rant over.

Sorry I just have a bad taste from my first year. Yeah it made me try harder but whats the point of winning a amateur race against true rookies? And if you are worried about getting money back in return you are in the wrong sport.

04-12-2006, 12:17 PM
I want to be the fastest of the slow guys !!!!!!
