Ok so in detail, what the problem with this place...

I call it "The Beach" because there is soo much sand on the track. :gack:

Tar strips, bumps, sealers strips, the front half of the track is completely different than the back half, sand in the paddock, sand in the paddock that ends up in turn one, pit out, the facilities, the surrounding town, and the fact that CMP is the hottest place in the known universe......other than that its not a bad track.

Yep , what Chip said.And the heat index at my CMP race last year was 106* :eek:

The worst track in the southeast. The track does not flow well at all. It looks like someone who had no idea of a roadrace course designed the layout. I hate that CCS added this one back on there schedule.

Man its like the more horible the place is the higher the fee!!!! i love the fact that it is close but for that kinda money i'll put some gas in the tank and head to jennings or robeling.

I like the track and I would race it again......somebody asked what the problems were.

Every track has problems........those are CMP's.....

It has its good points as well.

the 3 person deal breaks down to $150 a piece which is not a bad price

turn one motorsports is for cars only they always cost more it doesn't cost anymore to ride a bike on cmp if so it is only like 5 dollars or so more i have done a some track days there as well for those who think that i haven't been on the track

So i guess my big question is is it worth me talking to these people about a group buy? How many people would be interested in getting in here?

cmp doesn't do there own track days for bikes you have to go when other clubs or sportbike assocations go and they will give you a discount if you pay a membership fee

Even if you got 30 people to participate it would still be too expensive. Not to mention if you put it on you would have to buy insurance. McCutch is right, other than roebling and jennings and I think little taladega the only way you are going to get on the track is through a track org or by racing. Most of the prices for track days with the different orgs are not that bad (the bigger tracks cost more but that is because they cost more to rent).
